There is a lot of abuse of the system. There have got to be ways to curb that without hurting the people who need help and aren't abusing the system.

Is it the leaks are fake but the news is real or the leaks are news but the real is fake? I can't keep track. Anyway, it's probably the latter option.

1) Claiming impropriety isn't looney. It's nearly a certainty. 2) That has anything to do with the Trump - Russia conversation? 3) How does it feel? 4) He's a moron and he's morally bankrupt. No genius involved.

You don't think that the GOP is worse for the country right now? Come on man. Put aside what they are "supposed" to stand for. In actual practice, the right is a disaster. No two ways about it.

As I'm starting my new bipartisan political party, the BOTH-PARTIES-ARE-STUPID-BUT-THE-CURRENT-GOP-NEEDS-TO-DIE Party, I realize the importance of surrounding myself with the right people during the formative stages and was wondering if you would be interested in the position of Minister of Alternative Facts & Shameless Propaganda. Some current parties refer to this position as press secretary but we're going to be more out in the open about our misfeasance. You'd basically be doing what you're doing now but you would have to do it for both parties... so, double the fun. We'll even pay you if we can.

This is like Dick Fosbury standing up and saying to all of his competitors, "you don't want to go over that bar backwards. It'll never work and you'll look silly." The right already showed them the path. Endless ranting & raving, scandals, witch hunts, coordinated obstruction, refusal to work with the other party on anything at all even if it would be for the good of the nation. That's what you need. That's the problem when your innovative new offense starts having success. Other teams are gonna steal your plays. So to summarize, providing substance would be a nice bonus. It's not necessary though.

It should be a multi-pronged attack. The folks in office with any power should focus. The regular folk and media should tirelessly hit Trump & the GoP with a nonstop **** storm of scandals, investigations, and witch hunts. There is a multi-pronged approach to the latter as well with the truthful, the semi-truthful, the not so much, and the complete bull****. All of them have their place.

It's not about suppressing support for Trump. It's about minimizing the damage that this regime can do, whipping the left voter base into a frenzy so they get off their asses and hit the polls 20 months from now, and sending a message to the GOP that the left isn't going to sit back and let you pull this **** anymore without a serious, SERIOUS fight.

Ok guys, much like Hillary had to come back and apologize for her "basket of deplorables" comment, I come to you today, hat in hand, to express my sincere apologies for the statement above. I do not believe that the average member of the GOP voting base is an idiot, racist, and homophobe. What I was trying to say is that some are idiots, some are racists, and some are homophobes. It can be an either / or thing. A lot of them are, of course, all three at once or a combination of any two of those qualities but I didn't mean to, you know... generalize.

Nobody over there really cares about big government vs small government or states rates. They care about GOP rights. When big government aligns with what the GOP wants, they're all for it.

Totally agree. Fight back with all of those things. Might as well use every weapon at our disposal, right? Also, you're going to want to use every dirty trick in the book for a little while as well. Once this current GOP has been destroyed, everyone can get back to actual governance.

See I used to think that too... Until Donald Trump became president of the United States. Pretty clearly there are enough idiots in the GOP base and enough weak, unprincipled politicians in there ranks willing to roll over and sell out the country just as long as they can stay in office for one more term that this strategy is no longer in the best interest of our nation. Time to fight back.

No breathing. Turn up the volume. If you relax for half a week and Trump semi-competently reads somebody else's speech then half of the country is suddenly ready to forgive him. Nope, nope. Gotta pile it on, non-stop til the next election cycle. Whip the left voter base into a frenzy. Take over the house and senate and then help the GOP hit rock bottom by smacking the **** out of them figuratively speaking of course.
