Slowik might be the biggest goober in the room in an interview…but his scheme/play calling is much more impressive to me than Ben Johnson’s. This is not a dig on Ben Johnson, I’ve just watched a lot of Texans and Lions games this year. Just my opinion.

I think JJ would benefit from another year in school. Probably solidifies himself as a first round pick. I won’t be surprised if he takes some NIL cash and hangs out in Ann Arbor for one more ride.

I was gonna add something similar. It’s weird how we’re trying to white wash the Lance debacle as a way to build Peters up. Peters was surely involved in those discussions. The rumor was that Kyle wanted Mac Jones but then got persuaded into Lance. But really…who cares. Adams Peters is a stud. We would be lucky to have him. I don’t care one iota about his involvement or lack of involvement in the Trey Lance deal.

Quinn is a good defensive coach. But he can’t hold a candle to Bill, especially in a one game playoff scenario. The guy is a wizard. I also think that Dallas lacks the overall discipline/belief/focus to win a title. I think Bill would give them that. I agree they could upgrade McCarthy, but he’s been better than I think people give him credit for. Including myself.

Honestly, I don’t want Bill anywhere near the Cowboys. With the ammo they have on that defense I wouldn’t be surprised if he made it to a Superbowl. I know the shine on Bill has worn off this season. But I think the demise of his coaching abilities has been greatly exaggerated.

The Holdovers (2023) - I am a big Alexander Payne fan. I think he makes wonderfully thoughtful films. I don’t think he’s ever made a bad movie. Election and Sideways are his best films in my eye. Until I saw The Holdovers. This is the best film I have seen so far this year (2023). Perfect mix of comedy/drama/fun. It’s hilarious the entire way through, with Paul Giamatti in top form. His best work. I hope he wins an Oscar. Supporting cast is wonderful as well. Just an incredible time at the movies. Instant classic. -

I’d be beyond thrilled with a Peters hire. I think we should all be happy with that (although I know there will be some dissension here…it is ES 😆). This new beginning feels really good. Kinda like that first ice cream sandwich in the morning,

My only reservation about Ben Johnson’s scheme is that they seem to struggle with the blitz (to my untrained eye when I watch Detroit play). Not sure how much that is Goff/scheme/etc. But it did stand out to me considering that they have lot of talent on the OL.

Manhattan (1978) - My favorite Woody Allen film. The black and white photography is great and Diane Keaton is amazing. Worth a watch. Saltburn (2023) - I hated this pretentious piece of trash more than I can explain. Shock value cinema that is a total ripoff of other films that were much better made. But I figured I would add it to the list here for those of you who like Amazon movie garbage. 😆 -
Josh Harris sets meetings with GM candidates which is standard protocol for teams with regime change. ES: We have the greatest owner ever!! He’s really thought this thing through!! 😆😆 We are starved for some good fortune around here. I think we get it. Hire Peters and let’s do this.

I see a lot of traits that I like with McCarthy. Unpopular opinion, but I think he has better pro tools than Penix. The game was kinda blah. Michigan just too strong.
