Nobody is sitting behind Mariota. Just pure silliness. It’s also weird when people wanna bend over backwards to say Peters had nothing to do with drafting Lance. It feels like we’re looking for ways to validate Peters’ ability by saying “he was responsible for all the good players but not the bad ones”. It doesn’t matter. Every GM has hits and misses. The thing that (I hope) Peters brings is a cohesive vision and a plan to execute that vision. Scheme fit and personnel decisions have been so disconnected here since forever. I don’t care what Peters’ role was in SF. He’s calling the shots here and will be responsible for the results. Good or bad. I’m betting on good.

Memories of murder is on Tubi with ads. Sexy Beast is on Hulu.

Sexy Beast - (2000; dir. Jonathan Glazer) - I was checking out this directors work (he directed Zone of Interest and Under the Skin) when I ran across this incredible little gem. It’s a British heist flick (think Snatch, etc. but with more of a soul) and it’s badass. Ben Kingsley gives a thunderous performance for the ages. Do not watch the trailer (the less you know about Kingsley the better here, it gives away far too much). Memories of Murder - (2003; dir. Bong Joon Ho) - This is a Korean serial killer yarn, directed by the same guy who did Parasite. It’s like a Korean version of a David Fincher flick. The filmmaking here is just flawless. This could literally be the best movie I had never seen. I cannot recommend it enough. @Chew@Momma There Goes That Mandon’t miss this one (either of these really 😆).

It just dawned on me that it’s always the same posters in the QB thread…the quarterbacks they talk about might change over the years but it’s the same posters getting their hands dirty in here. It’s like turning on the Young & Restless after a years long hiatus and seeing Victor Newman still doing his thing. 😆

Excited about this season for the first time since last season.

Still can’t believe that GMSM passed on him in the draft when he was sitting right there at arguably our biggest position of need.

I think Quan Martin and Forbes will excel under the new regime. But we still need a center fielder to play FS. Unless they unlock the untapped beast that is…Percy Butler. 😆

Thanks man! I spell and read super good too! Signing a vet QB for 6 million doesn’t mean a damn thing. It means they’re covering their bases.

I’m excited for Jamin Davis to be able to learn from a future HOF linebacker. Congrats to Quinn/Peters for a great FA. We still need a DB and a FS/center fielder, so we’ll see if another depth signing is in the cards. Let’s go ahead and sign Justin Simmons while we’re at it.

This is still just speculation. I don’t think signing Mariota means anything other than signing Mariota. They’ll sort it out in camp (Howell will beat out Mariota for the backup job), or they are positioned to trade him if they get an offer to their liking.

Howell will be the backup. Mariota will be third string.

I think we should wait and see the money details on the Ott signing before we get too excited. Other than that, it’s hard not to be happy.

Because we need something to talk about over and over until the draft. 😆 For all the manufactured drama, the top three picks in the draft have been obvious for a while… 1- Williams 2- Maye 3- Daniels I think Giants take McCarthy at 6.

There’s zero doubt about this part of it. He’s a tremendous guy and has been a hell of a player. A positive locker room addition. No matter how much we use him this season, I think he’s a pretty good prototype for the kind of back Kliff will want to use in his system.

I really don’t expect Robinson to be here for long. I don’t think he’s a great fit of Kliff’s system, but I’m interested to see how we use him.

For the record, Ekeler sucked last year. Let’s hope he plays better.
