The last movie you saw......GO! (After you read the OP!!!!)

The Third Man - (1950/dir. Carol Reed) - An early noir flick with Orson Welles and Joseph Cotten. A lot of people have Citizen Kane at the top of their “best all-time” lists, but I liked this film more. It still holds up. The photography and chase sequences around Vienna are some of the best ever filmed. A must see for cinephiles. Notorious - (1946/dir. Alfred Hitch****) - One of the best from the best. Amazing chemistry between Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. It gets better everytime I see it. I think one could argue that this is Hitch****’s best film, and while I would disagree, I think you could still make a convincing case. Another must see for cinephiles. These movies are FREE with ads on Tubi. -
Congrats to Quinn on assembling a solid staff. I have my preferences (like the rest of you degenerate idiots 😆), but I’m willing to see how things shake out. I’m most interested in how we attack our glaring roster weaknesses (QB/OL/ILB/EDGE) and how we go about getting some weaponry for our young QB. This is the most important offseason for us since Sega Genesis came out. If we can nail it, our rise from the ashes might be closer than we think.

The biggest problem with the air raid (in my opinion, as he runs it) is that almost all plays are from shotgun. Which makes it easier to diagnose run/pass and bring pressure. These offenses usually struggle in the red zone due to the lack of physicality (people hated Longo’s red zone offense at UNC and Ole Miss despite his overall numbers). Brian Robinson’s days here are probably over. I don’t see him fitting the new scheme so we can add RB to our laundry list of needs (I already had it on my list but further down than I do now 😆).

I consider all of these things when discussing Kingsbury. I watched the Cardinals play enough to see that their offense was consistently a hot mess. I don’t think that being obsessed over drawing up unique plays and coaching/teaching the details of said plays are one and the same. I think Kingsbury is maybe good at the former, but poor at the latter. Which is why his unit underachieved relative to expectations.

Quinn was not my first choice (as most here also feel 😆), but I will judge him by his results on the field. If they hire a great OC and have a great offseason/draft I think this dog could eventually hunt. I didn’t care what Rivera said to his wife after games or what the sound byte de jour was, his results on the field were poor and that’s all that mattered. I don't give a **** if Quinn is a rah rah guy, or if he defers to his coordinators, or if he wears ****ing magic underwear to practice…his results on the field are all that matters. Different coaches have different styles. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Let’s hope the new brass got this one right. I think we will all feel a lot better about it if he hires a great OC. Fingers crossed.
