  1. It is actually stunning that some actually think we made a mistake in trading this clown. He had every opportunity to show what he can do in a great situation in SF. He has now played 10 games and has 13 tackles and 2.5 sacks. For that we were supposed to pay the man. LOL.
  2. The only time we heard the name Chase Young on Sunday is when he got cleared out by a no name rookie WIDE RECEIVER on a huge run. Teams think so little of Young's ability to set the edge that they felt confident in matching up a random wide receiver. And they were right.
  3. I don't want him here again either, we need to get the QB of the future. But it's still funny to me that he is still the best QB this team has had since Joe Theisman but fans hate him far more than Rex Grossman.
  4. I get it 's a rebuild but if they hit on the QB, draft well and hit on a few free agents I don't see why this team can't be competitive next season with better coaching. I've never been a big Jon Allen guy but he is coming off a bad season and won't present a lot of value. I don't like creating yet more holes on the DL because next fall we will all be complaining about the DL.
  5. I swear I saw on the ESPN scroll that Johnson was interviewing with the Falcons today, which did not make a lot of sense to me as they play on Sunday and he is game planning. Edit: Ooops that was a virtual interview.
  6. So the words of the GMs posted earlier does not mean anything to you? Obviously we are all entitled to our opinions, it's what makes this fun. But I'm not sure how we can just ignore the reports on Maye and roll out Howell and a 2nd rounder.
  7. I don't want a QB who they need to build a scheme around him, I don't ever went to read "hope" when discussing our QB prospect. I have also grow tired of undersized QBs, I do believe that is a disadvantage. Although I can certainly see why posters are promoting Jayden Daniels, his potential is scary good, I just see too much risk at a pick they really need to get right. But as others have said I totally trust Peters and whatever decision they make I'll be fine with.
  8. Chicago's situation was far different. I'm not a big Fields guy but he is surely better than Sam Howell. So they decided to roll with Fields to get another look and got blind lucky when Bryce Love turned out to be so bad they got a do-over. Had the Panthers taken Stroud, or Young had not totally sucked, they would not be looking so smart today and would probably have been stuck giving Fields a Daniel Jones contract that would have killed them. As for Washington what you are proposing is a huge gamble. What if they trade back too far and the QBs they really like are gone. What then? Take their 4th or 5th best option because they are in desperate need of a QB? Would that make more sense than just taking a highly rated QB prospect at 2? Next year's class is not nearly this strong, who knows where they will be picking and what it would cost to move up to take one of next year's QBs?
  9. Notice all the people who are laughing at you? "Math can be disputed with facts" may be an all time classic. Who the team drafted in 2010 is completely irrelevant to today with totally different people making the decision. And taking an OL at 2 in this draft is a huge waste of value.
  10. Well seeing as he said they were both "clearly the more talented players" it would appear as if the correct answer is yes. Nobody is anointing anyone anything. Most all of us are simply saying it's worth the risk because you need a good QB where you want to roll out Howell again.
  11. I have no idea what this is even supposed to mean. You said about Howell "I think with the right coach and the right team Build you can make it work.". If you do not understand by now that to "make it work" in the NFL you need a franchise QB I don't know what to tell you. You were right, I don't know how Howell will turn out. But if you are sitting at #2 with this sort of QB prospect there for the taking why on Earth would you settle for Sam Howell and the long odds that he can in fact become a long team starter on a team that contends year after year, which of course is almost always a franchise QB? When you have the opportunity to take Maye or Daniels you don't even think about the name Sam Howell.
  12. You act as if my opinion that Sam Howell will never be a franchise QB regardless of the situation is some outlier position when it fact it's the majority opinion.
  13. This is where I am as well His weight never really bothered me too much, but as you said like D Brown when given the opportunity to make a play he never seemed to come away with the ball. I'm not overly optimistic that he can be much more than a depth piece.
  14. Thanks. I found it and listened yesterday and a bit this morning. Highly entertaining, they are ready to burn it all down and start over.
  15. This is one of the better posts I've read. You are right, after the fact I did try to talk myself into like the Forbes and Davis picks. I told myself to trust the pros and disregard all we have read. We all know how fortunate we are to getting rid of Dan and Ron while obtaining the 2nd pick in the draft. Never really thought to put the Forbes pick into the equation but you may be right. If we had won just one more game, and maybe Forbes over Gonzales produced the loss, then it was a great long term pick as it helped us obtain Peters and perhaps the QB to build around.
  16. Who could ever forget that game. I was playing fall league softball that ended at a little after 1.I got in the car and heard them go up 21-0,, at a time when I was my most rabid. I got home and watched it all fall apart. Riggs had like 250 yards in that game or something crazy but fumbled away the win after a long run.
  17. You claim I had not listened to your argument, when I did and addressed it, and now you can't even bother to read mine? I should have never given you a pass on our Dwayne Haskins bet had I know you would act like such a coward.
  18. The Dallas game was over early at 27-0, but even they didn't get embarrassed the way the Philadelphia Eagles got embarrassed. Missed tackles, inept offense, just the worst performance from the team I hate even more than the Cowboys. Their fans were pretty chesty in October, now they have to wonder if their team didn't give another Carson Wentz contract to their QB.
  19. No the Bears GM said something like "we're in a unique position" which means drafting Caleb Williams I would think.
  20. I have always loved Mel Kiper and this exchange. But it would have been a lot better if Trent Dilfer wasn't a bust. This is one of my biggest concerns about Daniels. I also agree he takes off too quickly and takes too many hits, I want a QB who has mobility but escapes with is eyes downfield.
  21. They had guys wide open all over the field,, Dallas had 2 receivers right next to each other in the end zone.
  22. You are comparing Howell to first round QBs, one the overall #1. You are essentially arguing that Taylor Heinke can be a franchise QB if they just built the team up around him.
