  1. One caveat: she said in pretrial motions, not during the trial or post trial. The PRA has nothing to do with this case that is based on the Espionage Act only. One is civil (PRA) and one is criminal (EA)., and this is a criminal case, period. Smith needs to appeal to the 11th Circuit ASAP.
  2. My daughter's father's family was always kind to me. He committed suicide when she was 3, I never saw them after the funeral because he didn't tell his family about her. My first girlfriend's mother was accepting, controlled alcoholic, the father was dead. She was still alive when we broke up and I didn't see her again, the siblings were okay. My second girlfriend's mother was a sweet woman who died too soon. I wish I had known her longer. The parents were divorced so never met the father, met a couple of the aunts who were accepting. Her siblings were a strange mix and I was glad to leave them behind when we parted. My last girlfriend's parents were dead, her son didn't like me and when he committed suicide are relationship lasted a while longer but didn't survive. When my daughter married, I told her I wouldn't interfere in her relationship she could always come to me and I wouldn't offer advice unless she directly asked for some. My ex SIL is a nice man, a good father, not very ambitious sadly. Whenever we meet, it's cool.
  3. I thought that Smith didn't include anything about the Presidential Records Act in the charging documents, instead basing the charging documents on the Espionage Act. So Trump bringing up the PRA in the first place should have been thrown out by Cannon. I still say that a Trumper minion is advising her in these matters because she doesn't strike me as that bright.
  4. Not breading the eggplant slices for this dish. I might peel the eggplant so it's easier to make servings come out of the dish easier. No skin strings to cut through. Plus I'm not sure if you peel them anyway.
  5. Going to make moussaka starting today. First baking the sliced potatoes. You're supposed to peel them first, think I'll leave the skins on for the vitamins, they're gold potatoes anyway. Tomorrow will be the meat sauce and eggplant slices, Thursday the bechamel sauce, assembly and eating. I'm going to give some to my daughter, she's been very good to me lately. Next big casserole is pastissio. Back to back Greek dishes that I've never made before and have wanted to try because they're my favorites.
  6. Only 4 months on 52 counts?! Must be misdemeanors. Need to be felonies with 4 years in prison and loss of voting rights. This makes me mad. State legislatures changed misdemeanors to felonies those minor crimes that poor black people were committing so that they lost their voting rights because felonies, same with gun laws if black people violated a misdemeanor. Time to change voter fraud designation from misdemeanor to felony so these criminal Republicans lose their voting rights.
  7. Judge Merchan latest order: Extended gag order on Trump. He can't mention any of the judge's and DA's families. Possible penalties: a) no access to jurors names, addresses, etc; b) fines; or c) incarceration up to 30 days. Yay!
  8. Personally I like Maye's size and weight rather than Daniels. Daniels reminds me of RG3, not as durable. We want someone who will be our QB for years, not a half decade maybe. I also like that although commanding his pro day, he doesn't seem like over the top conceited or too big on himself. I watched both pro days and liked that Maye threw a possible game amount of passes. That impressed me, as well as how fast that exhibition went.
  9. Against the backdrop of a deeply narssistic psychotic wanna be dictator.
  10. I do have burner covers for all but one burner, a small one that I use constantly. I usually put a larger pan on one of the big burners, I have a hot water pot on one, and the other big burner is used to put my every day pan on when it's hot to cool off. So I'll continue to think about it. My next month purchase is a pair of Keds for the summer. Those are my favorite kicks.
  11. I think I want one but my counter space is micro. I just bought an 8" cast iron skillet because my small ceramic skillet is limited heat wise. I like to start out medium high and turn down the heat instead of medium or less and wait forever for it to heat up. It's a Lodge and it's getting delivered today so I'll try it out tomorrow morning.
  12. Not a man, can't grill here at the apartments and the grilling location is far away from my apartment. So it's a grill pan (it's ok), the oven, or stovetop. I can do okay and it's a good thing that steak is too expensive because that's one thing I prefer on a grill. The grill pan just doesn't cut it.
  13. Not surprising, there are a lot of companies on this list that I worked proposals for over my 30+ year career. And some I've used their services. It's disgusting and sad to see this support for fascists. However, we know that corporations and government can combine in a symbiotic relationship known as fascism.
  14. Democratic House member from NJ is introducing a bill for the protection of our classified information from those charged with specific crimes. I agree with this bill. From the article and the link below that. New Jersey Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D) has drafted legislation to bar federal officeholders and candidates who are charged with certain criminal offenses from having access to classified information, a bill aimed squarely at former President Trump and Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.). Sherrill’s three-page bill, the Guarding United States Against Reckless Disclosures (GUARD) Act, would bar the president, vice president, members of Congress and federal candidates from receiving classified information if charged with obstructing an official proceeding, unlawfully retaining classified defense information, or acting as a foreign agent, among other criminal offenses. The legislation doesn’t explicitly refer to Menendez or Trump, but its language applies directly to both embattled politicians, who between them face 109 criminal charges. Both have pleaded not guilty. Sherrill didn’t mention Menendez in a statement Thursday but said she had Trump in mind when crafting the bill. “As a Navy veteran and former prosecutor, I have zero tolerance for any betrayal of the public trust, especially when it comes to classified information and our national security,” she said. “That’s why I’m extremely concerned about recent charges against Donald Trump and his continued desire to access sensitive classified information, despite reckless actions, and serious criminal charges,” she added. https://www.yahoo.com/news/democrat-introduce-bill-bar-menendez-135647290.html
  15. Picture of Melania kissing another woman too, they can claim the Bible is against this stuff while getting their kicks off this softcore porn like they always do.
  16. We're all better off than four years ago because Trump isn't our president.
  17. This is exact what I want to see, fake briefings with tractable lies. In actual real life personnel, those who acted as Trump did with the classified docs he had would never have a security clearance. It's called a security clearance for a reason: it's our nation's security that's at stake and he should be no where near anything classified ever again. So I'm fine if he's given nothing classified before the election, just stuff that's in the public domain. It cuts down on the chances he tries to intervene in our country's decisions during election season like he's interfering in the border issue. He had his chance to fix the border (outside of the ridiculous wall), he doesn't get any more chances.
