    A good portion of them are low information voters for the most part. Imagine seeing the COVID disaster and the refusal of Republicans to vaccinate/spread conspiracies, and saying to yourself that these are the guys to elect as our representatives.

    It’s only playable on PC. The console versions are still bad and buggy from what I know. It’s not great on PC either but the graphics are good at least.

    Imagine trying to argue that a robust asylum system and taking in more refugees would have made it easier for the Taliban to overtake Afghanistan I don’t even know what to do with such a contrarian, galaxy brain analysis.

    Yes, Reagan was a racist asshole and he still did more than any recent US President to get millions of non-white, foreign born people to become US citizens. That’s how regressive our immigrant policy has gotten since.

    They did a bad thing by pulling out before we could secure a safe refugee path for people who helped us and also set aside a portion of the visas for extremely vulnerable groups. There’s no excuse for Canada willing to take in 20,000 Afghan refugees but we are struggling to make our way to 4000. Canada has 1/8th of the population we do, and our equivalent # would be 175,000 if our liberal government wasn’t this apathetic toward immigration as a serious issue. I am sympathetic to the view that Trump et al did a really good job at dismantling our legal immigration system, especially the asylum process. But I expect a liberal President to do much better on issues like this. At the bare minimum they should have ensured that we had a robust asylum system in place in Afghanistan. It is really pathetic that Ronald Reagan was the last US president who showed the most sympathy towards brown people suffering in foreign countries and getting them to the US.

    This team was too much of a train wreck to ever develop and use him properly. I am happy for him. He didn’t flame out of the league like his teammates from that time. He wasn’t a high IQ player but he made a pretty good career just from being a great athlete who plays with a ton of energy.

    Idk if Turner lost because of her politics. Most of the attack ads against her were basically clips of her trashing the Democratic Party and it’s leadership. I bet if she wasn’t a toxic personality, she probably wins this easily. It’s not hard for progressive Dems to get elected in districts like hers.

    I just can’t bring myself to do a renegade play through of any game with moral choices. I tried to do a renegade Mass Effect play through this time, got to the part in ME1 where you can “discipline” Wrex, and just… choked. Lol. Just said **** it and now he’s a paragon Shep.

    I went from a PS4 pro (which was similar in specs to One X) to Series X. The new consoles are a huge improvement, most games I play run great at 1440p and 60+ FPS, which was not possible in the Pro and 1X. Also snagged a PS5 bundle through GameStop today. Not ideal but better than scalpers I suppose. Comes with ps online card, extra controller, Spider-Man ultimate edition and ratchet & clank. Figure Id get those at some eventually so just go for it now.

    It’s easier to blame poor people crossing the border than admit that people who share your political opinions (and lack of interest in fact finding) are the ones causing the current wave of the pandemic. Can’t be the millions of dumb assholes in this country who take pride in anti-social behavior. It’s the darn brown people. 🤡🤡🤡

    Feels like that’s the way I’m headed too. I really want to play Ghost, Ratchet and Clank, Spider-Man etc. I figure I have enough of a backlog on PC to get through the year but I know I want the new Horizon on day 1. Just feels inevitable that I’m getting scalped lol.

    Horizon Forbidden West delayed to Q1 2022, making me feel better about striking out on a PS5 every month. If it’s December and I can’t land one, I’m just giving into some scumbag scalper.

    If they are delusional enough to think they can compete for the playoffs, which seems to be the case, then picking a guy who can immediately contribute as a shooter makes sense. Between KCP and this guy, we may have added two players who shoot 40% from 3. Pretty good for a team that was bottom of the league last year.

    Idk not a bad pick. This team sucks at shooting threes and he was one of the better shooters in college. Hopefully he’s not a total stiff.

    Turning Russell Westbrook into Spencer Dinwiddie is just about the most Wizards thing possible. But it doesn’t look like the trade for Dinwiddie is happening? Getting another pick is good. KCP is a really good player and fit for this team. Defends the perimeter and shoots 3s. Something we’ve missed since Trevor Ariza. I don’t care for Kyle Kuzma. He looked pretty bad in the playoffs this year.

    Meathead who plays football, a game with a high likelihood of giving you brain damage, but is scared of a vaccine. If the dumbos on this team refuse to get vaccinated, their best hope is that the inevitable outbreak happens during training camp and preseason.

    National healthcare is a good policy to work towards. But imagine being so dumb that you show up at AOC’s office to protest for it, instead of working in districts with members of Congress who are currently not on board. Leftist activism is mostly a clown show in the US.

    The double dose Pfizer shot is 88% effective against delta. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2108891 It’s in the ~30% range with only one dose.

    I haven’t played ME3 since release. I’m currently working through ME1 in the remaster. You’ve got to finish Frozen Wild. Not just for the great story, but also to encounter the freeze and fire claws LOL. The final boss fight is the most rage inducing but deeply satisfying gaming experience I’ve had in a long time.
