This is one area where I don't think I'll ever get a connection with Rovers unless I get a chance to go to Ewood Park someday (Lord willing). Looking stuff up online and watching matches isn't the same in deciphering what is sung or chanted.

Based off of his time at Blackburn I think that's a fair assessment of Big Sam. That and his system is fairly ugly. There was a huge debate amongst Rovers fans as to style vs. results at the time.

I reckon Kilgalon will take over for now, maybe get in a loan signing next week for cover. Got in a winger that should go straight into the squad in Craig Conway, especially after the anouncement that Ben Marshall will be out some months. A little thin at striker. No idea what Leon Best's mentality is but I consider him a non entity. Josh King can play striker so I imagine he'll cover there. Again, maybe another loan signing there, too. Hopefully Bowyer can get the best out of the lads and push for the playoffs.

It's good to have guys who can play multiple spots. Now the team's not sure how bad off Ben Marshall's ankle is so I could see Varney out on the wing potentially. If we could get Tom Cairney to move into central midfield instead of out right it would be a benefit to the squad. We've got two defensive minded mids in Jason Lowe and Lee Williamson who don't really compliment each other very well and they're constants on the roster sheet. I think we've done ok in this transfer window so far. Bowyer's done a decent job, just needs to learn to not sit back and take pressure when we have a one goal lead.

Hope we won't need him to feature. Rhodes and Gestede look like a good pairing. I'm hoping this Dabo lad will solve some of our midfield issues.

Ugh. Back to back draws against Derby and Barnsley. This is going to hurt the playoff push.

Was watching highlights of Leeds and Rovers. Got to give it to you MartinC, you guys have a good crowd. Probably the best sounding crowd I've heard in the Championship this year (granted I only get to watch highlights and not full matches). Rovers can generally only manage about half as many fans per home match.

Seems like half the groups are really strong and the other half not so much. If we make it out of the group stage it will be a miracle.
