  1. I don't play anymore. I used to play keeper.
  2. Bit mixed on Mexico making it in. I think it's better for CONCACAF, but it would've been hilarious to see them not make it in. Once they had to play New Zealand I figured they'd be fine, and so they are.
  3. Ugh. Though Rovers are doing alright this year (currently in 9th) I just read a blog post about their finances and it doesn't look good. http://www.thewildblackburnrover.com/2013/11/accounts-pass-ultimate-judgement.html
  4. I'm content that Blackburn is consistent if not spectacular in 12th place now. How far we've come. Hope for a better run soon, but if not I'm fine. I hope someone knocks Burnley down a few notches, though.
  5. I'd like to hear more of your career if you're inclined to tell it. Blackburn with a good win, 3-1. Bowyer is a breath of fresh air as manager.
  6. Noticed him, too. Was it you? Also, he has an orange hat on under the cheese head. Browns anyone?
  7. Fine, I'll concede that it's a bit too harsh to go as far as a disallowed goal, but the ref should've played the advantage at least.
  8. No need to apologize for it, but a bad call like that can hamper a team that doesn't have the same class as their opponent. No denying that, either.
  9. I think it was a pretty big turning point, Sunderland had the flow of play and another goal would've boosted their confidence even more. Having that goal taken away deflated them.
  10. If he had responded that we he definitely would've been owned.
  11. Rovers wouldn't let him go for that amount. Bowyer kept saying he wasn't for sale. Paying high for him last year might've actually paid off in the long run. I say long run, but I don't see Rhodes being with the club after this year if he continues his form. If a Premiership club came in I would've been worried and I can see him heading up if Rovers don't make the jump this year. Glad that Everton got Lukaku instead. We'll see how it goes in January, but for now a nice victory for Rovers.
  12. Nice win for Rovers over the weekend, thumping Barnsley 5-2. On a more somber note, Morten Gamst Pedersen will be leaving the club soon. Rumor is he'll be going to Turkey or maybe over to Copenhagen. After the win this weekend he stepped onto the pitch and saluted the fans, very emotional from what I heard. An inglorious way for him to leave, especially for one who's been so loyal to the club when others have been eager to jump off the burning wagon that has been Rovers of late. Godspeed, Gamst.
  13. Enjoyed NBC's coverage this weekend. Nice to be able to see a lot more games. Did miss Darke and Macca.
  14. Blackburn still need a CM. Lost out on Spearing, Bannan and David Jones.
  15. By the looks of it I'd say this is Culpeper. And if that's the case, I'm not totally surprised.
  16. I don't know if it'll happen at this point but he's the type of guy we really need. I was hoping we could resign David Jones but there was talk of him going to rivals Burnley.
  17. Congrats, MartinC, on the departure of Ken Bates. Blackburn is having a quiet yet solid offseason. Kept Bowyer which was the reasonable thing to do. Trying to balance the books which means we've lost a few guys (Murphy, Olsson, Gomes) but trying to bring in young energetic guys who will fight for the badge. Looking at Jay Spearing and Barry Bannan. Spearing talks seem to gone quiet now. I've heard talks that we may lose Givet and Dann. Givet because he's been disgruntled for a couple of years and Dann because he makes a lot of money. I'd settle for a solid steady confidence building season, tbh.
  18. Agreed about Jose all around, GHH. It would be cool to see him go to a mid level Premiership side to see what he can do. You know, since he won't come to Blackburn.
