  1. I know everyone was saying the NBA would want the Lakres/Celtics finals, but literally everyone I have talked to is a lot more excited to see the Nuggets in there and wanted the Heat to be against them. I think the ratings for this are probably going to be pretty damn high. Maybe all the stars won't be courtside like at a Laker/Celtics finals, but I think from a pure entertainment point of view for TV watching, it's going to be fantastic. And each team has a great storyline going in, especially the Heat. Although, it's kind of funny that the Heat are really the 7th seed. They just lost their first play in game and won the 2nd to become the 8th seed. But like from a seeding point of view, they were the 7th seed lol.
  2. White Men Can't Jump (2023) 4/10 This movie isn't all bad. It was semi entertaining. The acting was bad though and the story was pretty stupid as well. The thing that gets me though is why was it even called White Men Can't Jump? It really has nothing to do with the original story at all, aside from hustling in California. But there is just so much to it that is different than the original one that it didn't make sense to name it that. They also force a bunch of stupid race "jokes" and comments which just seem so out of place. But like I said, it still kept me interested and entertained for most of it. The basketball scenes in general was not very well done either. I really only watched it out of curiosity knowing it would not hold anything to the original one.
  3. Yeah it's crazy how much better a team looks when they aren't bricking 90% of their shots and not turning the ball over left and right.
  4. You must have been living under a rock. Deadwood got a lot of praise. Me personally I tried to watch it - twice - and couldn't get into it.
  5. I am fine with never hearing about the Nats on sports radio lol. I mean let's be real - they know what gets listeners, and NFL is by FAR superior to anything else. That is just the way it is. And then around here it would be Caps, and then probably Nats then Wizards. There are like 3000 games a season in baseball so if they miss talking about them today, they can talk about them another day.
  6. Yeah I believe it was like the 7:30 segment if I recall. They are also literally talking about it right now on BMitch and Finley.
  7. Heard them discussing it on the Junks this morning so I'm not really sure what else you wanted. That's the only show that has finished airing so far. This is one thing I agree 1000000% with you. He is so not funny yet he thinks he is so funny. When he starts doing his impressions of people that is usually when I rage quite, if I happen to have it on. I will say though his impression of Barkley is funny. That's it though.
  8. I watched Halloween Ends and wow, it was A LOT worse than I ever could have imagined. I mean I knew it was bad, but I did not know it was going to be THAT bad. I'd almost recommend watching it just to see how bad it actually is lol, if you're a fan of Halloween that is. I'd give it about a 2/10 and that is being generous. I give it 2 because of the opening scene. Otherwise it would be a 0 or 1.
  9. I literally asked him why he said he was a douche and why he isn't an ultra competitor and his response was basically "if you know you know" lol. Yeah okay lol.
  10. Jordan also wouldn't have been in a WCF game at the age of 38 putting up 31 points so he would never be in the same position as Lebron was last night. Jordan also had less mileage on him at that point. I mean it's clear father time is catching up with Lebron. He was clearly gassed in the 4th quarter so it makes sense why he let his foot off the gas pedal - he had no gas left. I get that people want to compare him to Jordan, and it's going to happen because they were both the GOAT of their eras, but comparing players across eras just doesn't work. It's the same in any sport really.
  11. Yeah because Lebron is the only NBA player that whines. Basically every NBA player in the past decade believes they have never committed a foul. It's just part of the NBA now. I'm curious, why is he a "giant douche bag" as you claim? And why is he the antithesis of an "ultra competitor", whatever that even is?
  12. Sounds like a false flag psy op mission to me....
  13. The hating on Lebron today is pretty sad and pathetic. I mean the dude has been in the league for 20 years playing well more than 22 seasons with all the playoff games he has played in and put up a 40 piece and nearly had a triple double in an elimination game and they lost by 2 points and people are still hating on him. I guess it makes them feel good about themselves though.
  14. I dunno what they should talk about I'm not in the industry, but the constant same old draft talk sucks. And you are acting like it doesn't happen every year, even when the Caps and Nats are relevant, because it does. It's the same **** every year since I started listening to sports radio like 2 decades ago. It's even worse now though because with social media so many more people think they have a platform. And you are wrong about Wizards. Go take a look at the thread on here. People care. You're the one that said "literally NO ONE" not me.
  15. Yeah you're not wrong about that either, but at least it is only the talk for like a day or so when the schedule is released. We get weeks of people talking about draft picks and their "mock drafts" that don't mean jack **** and then we have to hear about a different one. Then after the draft they like to grade the draft for a week talking about how players we've never seen step on an NFL football field will perform in half a year. I get that the NFL owns all, but draft talk is just the worst and lasts like a month. I am glad it's over.
  16. LMAO. I clicked on this thread for the first time since Friday and this was the first new post for me.
  17. No, talking about the NFL draft is the worst thing on sports radio.
  18. No, he pointed at the announcer and said BANG to him. Top tier move.
  19. I believe the Wind Temple is the only one I've done. That was the direction I just chose out of the 4 initial points to head and I haven't really left that area. I don't know what powers come from what dungeons/levels/temples or whatever they are all called in this game. I haven't looked at anything about this game really other than the initial trailer and the little demo they gave off about the powers of the arm.
  20. I don't think there is a game that is easier to get side tracked in than the new Zelda game. I keep trying to make progress but then nope, off in some cave or some ****.
  21. I have no clue who their contacts are but the definitely have some. They've broken stories plenty of times in the past. I know they have a lot of "off the record" conversations with people too but they can't say anything about a lot of stuff.
  22. I'm not trying to make a compelling argument lol. I'm not even trying to make any argument. I was bringing up stats. And I am not trying to make any kind of corelation between keeping a gun in a night stand to a mass shooting. I said it seems like there are more mass shootings than people using guns to shoot at an intruder breaking into their home in the middle of the night. But you do you.
  23. My point is that people think it makes them safer, but statistics show it makes them less safe. Sure, if you don't ride in a car, you won't be getting anywhere quick. You're going to be walking everywhere and taking forever. But if you don't have a gun in your house vs. you do have one, nothing changes at all in your day to day life. You just have a tool used to kill sitting there doing nothing, until it does something. Comparing riding in a car to having a gun sitting in your night stand is a pretty dumb comparison. It has nothing to do with political views at all. It's pretty basic statistics. Just like how we're the only country in the civilized world with a gun problem and the only country in the civilized world with a gun obsession and very lax rules to them.
  24. Having that gun in the nightstand, even without kids, adds an additional risk of someone in the house getting into some kind of domestic dispute and using it. I'd say more so if they are a family that likes to drink and party. There are plenty of studies I've seen over the past couple of years that show having a gun in your home raises the risk of someone being shot in your home. And I'm sure nobody thinks it will happen to them, until it does.
