  2. Russian court says American man jailed for drunken "petty hooliganism" https://www.cbsnews.com/news/russia-arrest-us-national-american-petty-hooliganism-soldier/ A Moscow court said Tuesday that it had sentenced a U.S. citizen to 10 days in detention for petty hooliganism after he stumbled drunkenly into a children's library and passed out. News of the American's detention came just hours after Russian and U.S. authorities said a U.S. soldier was being held in custody in the far eastern city of Vladivostok on suspicion of theft in a separate case. Russia's REN TV said the man detained in Moscow had climbed through the window of a children's library in the Russian capital and fallen asleep while drunk. Video aired by the network showed a person, partially clothed, laying in what appeared to be a courtyard of the building.

  4. Thanks a lot you ****in' protestors... Now innocent people who had nothing to do with this are being affected.
  5. Rafah assault looks imminent as hope fades for Israel-Hamas cease-fire https://www.cbsnews.com/news/israel-hamas-war-no-cease-fire-rafah-ground-offensive-palestinians-evacuate/ Israel's military ordered Palestinians in the eastern part of the Gaza Strip city of Rafah to evacuate Monday ahead of a ground offensive long promised by the Jewish state's leaders. The message was delivered with fliers, phone calls, messages and media broadcasts in Arabic after a weekend that saw hope for a new cease-fire in the seven-month Israel-Hamas war dashed yet again.
  6. Hamas attacks Israel-Gaza border crossing as cease-fire talks continue https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hamas-attacks-israel-gaza-border-crossing-cease-fire-talks-continue/ Hamas militants attacked Israel's main crossing point for delivering humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip on Sunday, dealing a blow to the ongoing crease-fire efforts that appear at an impasse with both sides blaming each other.

  8. https://www.thedailybeast.com/morning-joe-scolds-stupid-msnbc-viewers-who-back-campus-protests Scarborough further lectured anti-war protesters on the correct way to demonstrate, name-checking Martin Luther King Jr. in the process. “There are ways to do this that help the cause… without aiding the worst elements in American politics,” he added.
  9. The local DC stations are airing ads for races in Maryland (senate, primary I presume between Trone and his democratic rival) and now West Virginia ads with Chris Miller who was complaining about wokeness in a governor campaign. It's May. I'm just trying to watch hockey. Get this stuff off my TV. I also do not live in either state so neither ad applies to me.
  10. I was watching Korean TV yesterday and they had an hour long special on North Korea and I saw them cover that new song.
  11. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/other/how-to-bet-2024-kentucky-derby-chris-the-bear-fallicas-expert-picks-best-bets Every year, sports fans shift their attention to Louisville on the first Saturday in May for the Kentucky Derby. There’s just something incredibly special about the event dubbed "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports." This is the 150th "Run for the Roses," and regardless of whether you indulge in a few Mint Juleps, there is fun to be had for all — particularly when it comes to laying a few wagers.
