  1. I mistakenly thought we hit rock bottom every year for probably the past 6. And a few times within each given year. Now Chase couldn't sack a lunch and then got injured and is out for the season. Dan is still here. QB search for a guy that doesn't exist goes on forever. We have stud DLs via top picks across the board and have the worst D. Now Congress is getting involved - maybe a glimmer of hope there? This is just the 2021 version of our ongoing potential rock bottom saga.
  2. We are probably a few years away from rock bottom but its slowly coming into view. Congress/Wilkinson Report may be the ultimatum on Dan on if he stays or goes. If he stays rock bottom will only happen when he Jack Kent Cooke's himself and lets the team be run by professionals. If he goes, the next ownership group just can't do any worse. We lost our coveted Thanksgiving marketing niche. Our freaking stadium is overrun by out of state fans so it can't get much worse. Imagine if we were in an international league - fans from other countries would come here in droves singing their glorious songs that we don't understand amid more demoralizing defeats.
  3. surprised they didn't blow the whistle - its all the rage this year it seems. I love the huge scrums!
  4. Agree he often seems a tad late to get rid of the ball. Game is happening fast and he is still learning
  5. Love the early game proper hits on QBs. Especially asshole QBs.
  6. someone should scream in Brady's face like he always does like an asshola
  7. Why can't JDR have a LB up vs the obvious QB sneak Brady is rattled from that Allen hit
  8. Gotta go PAP. Or run on obvious pass downs. Or **** it, go pass happy
  9. Heiny's revenge starts today but it won't happen if JDR keeps calling defenses like he is trying to get fired. Not playing on Thanksgiving says all one needs to know about this dumpster fire.
  10. I seem to recall fan consensus being that Patrick Ramsey got tossed to the wolves aka no pass pro yet forced to stand in the pocket. Became deer in the headlights and just froze and got run over proper 3 times in a row until the coach yanked him in a daze. Maybe it was Heath Shuler....
  11. Fair enough and I do think I point the finger at coaching more than most. But QBs notoriously take then fall when they fail. I can't recall an OC ever taking full blame for a top college QB failing in the pros. Maybe its the owners that don't hold coaches responsible enough, but are in a tough spot as coaches need time, and the owner is not the expert in the room.
  12. Oh we chose a name? I missed that.... What is it? If we haven't revealed the name they chose, I have no reason to believe they actually chose one. Legal cases can span years, even if they did choose one.
  13. Anyone want to play predict rock bottom. Wow I have been wrong so many times before I should be disqualified from playing. Mr Richardhead will likely escape scrutiny from congress as they are on the take as priority 1 (along with getting re-elected) and the NFL has unthinkably deep pockets. So he remains. I think RR will use lots of picks to get his QB in 2022, and then Turner will not develop/use him correctly, forcing Mrs Richardhead to fire them all mid season 2023. So depending on how many years of draft picks were used to get the QB, that's our next real short term bottom. I am thinking a nameless and coachless team spring 2024 is rock bottom. Then we will bring in a young college coach to save us from ourselves. At that point, he cannot do any worse than has been done in the previous 25 years.
  14. Yep good stuff KDawg. I have long thought OCs often stifle QBs development far more than we ever hear discussed (close to never). OCs traditionally tote their playbook from city to city leaving a wake of failed QBs in their wake, yet never stopped to consider their playbook/playcalling is what made the QB fail. Last on display here, watching a mobile Heiny sitting in the pocket on 8 straight plays at the end of game, behind the most decimated OL i can recall. Meanwhile, Heiny's play in those last 2 series probably spurred looking at Tribs, with no one giving those ****ty play calls by Scott Turner a 2nd thought. Coaches are largely above scrutiny.
  15. QB desperation is setting in - its amazing what a few INTs noodle arm throws and losses can do, coupled with kicking the can down the road on drafting a QB. I wish we could have heard the bid/ask on Tribs. I am not sure what I would offer, maybe a 3rd if we weren't so inept and it would be a late 3rd but it will be closer to an early 3rd of course. The Foles Experience coupled with a modern day OC (who doesn't have his 1000 page playbook for a different style QB) showed you can get to the big dance with a vet. I know we have higher aspirations than a Foles and a better long term solution but that is more laughable at this point. We may be lucky to have a franchise at this rate of chaos crimes and dysfunction. Our best hope there is to blend in with the NFL old boys club assuming the Wilkinson report ends up exposing more indiscretions from other teams e.g. Grudenisms and takes some heat off of Mr. Richardhead. Ron has to draft a QB with our top pick next year, and not drool over some athletic kid. And stop drafting quantity over quality and watering down talent. We have no 5th next year because we really wanted Cheeseman or Bradley-King / Shaka Toney - basically free agents. Ron wanted to lose. The best way to lose is with a young QB learning hard lessons, not asking JDR to play soft zone at crunch time / never blitz.
  16. Becoming pubLICKly traded is the only way to escape this quagmire Edit: Ticker WFT would be shorted 2000% of available shares. No we wouldnt be the next Gamestop.
  17. I think its good to try to get a QB in here. I will say it again. Any GM with half a brain will know to triple the ask price when RR comes calling on draft day next spring.
  18. He probably doesn't get much insider info anyways. Remember, we aren't that far off from Bruce only doing interviews at small radio stations in rural areas, once a year or 2. Directive from Mr Dickhead no doubt, who hates the media. Who is still in charge. And also, the big news stories would break only by national guys an hour before kickoffs. Any talk of going after Watson is more a testament to how desperate we are or are perceived to be, even by our best beat guys.
  19. Tongue in cheek yeah mostly but that aside until we see him draft a QB its all our assumption that he will this time around. Will we once again hear the price was too high for the guy he wanted? A smart GM will LOOT HIM when he calls next spring as he has backed himself into a bad place and everybody knows. Including that a Rodgers won't come here; RR will be and is desperate. Yes I am still stinging from the exact same scenario playing out under shanahan; refusing to draft a QB early on what may have set the team back a decade when Mike drafted 2 and used 6 picks to do so. Or was it 7. I remember, how many picks RG3 cost us is still up for debate haha. If we weren't such an inept org maybe we could entice a proper vet here so for us its draft or bust. Its great to build the lines first but it leads to wins. RR showed his hand last year and admitted to it this year, he wants to lose to get a great draft slot but without sandbagging on D, it will lead to wins and killing his own plan. RR seems a hot mess; he just cancelled the bye week practice. A practice that points the finger at the players being the problem. Cancelling it points the finger back to himself.
  20. How RR will address the missing link hmmm. He will stick to the plan. Keep blindly drafting DL/F7 and Laron Profit. Don't risk any picks on a QB; all the draft picks we spent on linemen - they will sandbag it for RR and parlay us into a glorious draft position. So that we can draft another lineman. Game is won in the trenches. John Madden knew. Knew before it became a passing league favoring the top QBs.
  21. She came out to clear her name of being a narc re: the leaked Gruden Allen Files. Mrs Synder is such an idiot she doesn't realize she actually showed the world she supports everything being kept/swept under the rug. Then again, she was playing to an audience of 31, if you don't count Mr Douchebags.
  22. Its painful to say it but they have a better owner as well. Scrapping the bottom of the barrel...
