    They can't really schedule much later than they have. Otherwise it runs into NBA, NHL playoffs and start of baseball season. Yes, there's March Madness but you can't wait for that to end because it makes the problem worse. Also, a substantial chunk of their talent pool, is coming from marginal NFL players. NFL minicamps start in mid-May. They could convince guys who might sign NFL reserve/future contracts, to play for the XFL instead (the XFL at least pays them - most NFL reserve/futures contracts get zero). They would then they still have a reasonable shot at the NFL. But you don't want to make players choose between the NFL and the XFL.

    I wanted to do somethign like this months back - I was convinced the stock market was simply overvalued. But when I looked at my 401k options, it seemed like everyone was heavily tied to US stock market to some degree.

    I'm wondering why some of these doctors who work at hospitals associated with universities didn't just pass on a sample to some of the academics who had access to PCR machines.

    Why not? The test for Coronavirus is basically just PCR which is a 30+ year old tecnology. If you know the RNA sequence, which we've known since January, and know what you are doing and have the right equipment, its not too hard. Granted the equipment is immobile, and expensive, but I'd bet every single major university, and most private biotech labs, would be able to test for Coronavirus if they needed/wanted to.

    The horses have left the barn as far as the travel restrictions. If you aren't going to travel ban South Korea and Italy, its pointless travel banning Iran and China. Thats like plugging two holes in the levee when there are four. And if you wanted to travel ban Italy, you would probably have to travel ban entire EU since there is no way to prove any EU citizen was in Italy and people will lie about where they have been.
