  1. Nice series win ... Urias should not have to sacrifice consecutive games to Gunnar Henderson. I guess the starting pitching decision when Means comes back is pretty easy now ... Kremer either moves to the bullpen or gets sent down On another note, Mateo should probably be batting either leadoff or 2nd. Keeping him in the bottom of the order is almost criminal. He should definitely not be batting behind Stowers, Santander or Henderson
  2. Three walks, three strikeouts by Bautista to end the 9th as Os win 7-4. Schoop in particular, swung at three balls and could have very well walked in a run with the bases loaded.
  3. 100 random Americans You're just as likely to get older ones. My bet is younger people would know the older "classic" songs more than the older people know more recent stuff. Here's a simple one
  4. Louie, Louie maybe. (No one understands the lyrics anyway)
  5. Announcers just had to jinx Cano ... Oh well no damage done. Os up 5-2 headed to the bottom of the 8th
  6. Crazy 9th. That would have been epic if we could have come back from 7 runs down. At least we forced them to use Jansen.
  7. Bradish is making the roster decision easy when Means comes back.
  8. I don't think the offensive will launch from there. An offensive over the Dnipro would face the exact same problems the Russian one did - supply bottleneck at the choke points. Currently the only land connection is the one over the Nova Khakova dam further north - the Antonovsky bridge has not been repaired. Even if it was, Russia can still hit it about as easily as Ukraine did. So it would be hard to transport heavy equipment (i.e. tanks) over the river, or sustain the logisitics for a large force. This is probably a raid to be sure Russia keeps troops there so they can't be somewhere else, thinning out their lines. At best, it is a reserve force that might be able to quickly collapse the entire Zaphorhiza-Kherson line if they achieve breakthrough further east, like around Melitopol. In that case RuAF would risk being outflanked and would almost certainly pull back to Crimea.
  9. Was at the game …. seemed almost a full house … crowd went nuts when Santander hit that double, and then again for the walk off on another note, Nats food is dog poo compared to Camden Yards …
  10. I'm glad the baseball version of Wentz sucks too
  11. Nice walkoff win after the blown save in the 9th. Bautista needs to learn how to keep runners on. At this rate Cecil Fielder could probably steal second on Bautista.
  12. I guess Americans aren't the only ones who celebrate 420
  13. Him, Baker and Bautista and we might just have ourselves a solid bullpen. If only Means could come back, thats a pretty good top three rotation.
  14. I want to play in the NL East. Can we switch with the Mets?
  15. .. Now we know why Jerry Springer was filmed in Chicago. Plenty of local talent to choose from.
  16. Ted isn't going to go full rebuild while Ovechkin is on the team, so sadly that will have to wait. Its going to be more like a reload We might have set ourselves up to be more competitive if we essentially punted a few of those years and not gotten desperate at the trade deadline (*cough* Erat for Forsberg). But all those years of trading picks/prospects left the cupboard bare. The Cup run in 2018 was a bolt from the beyond.
  17. Did we choke, or lose on purpose? It did increase our odds of getting Bedard from 5% to 6% because Detroit also lost outright (we apparently win the tiebreaker)
  18. Still early but our starting pitching has been pretty ass this year
  19. Speaking of which, guess who lost just to the worst NHL team, with the final playoff spot on the line. Maybe since the Caps aren't in this year, they figure whats the point. Everytime the Pens won the Cup, they had to beat the Caps in one of the playoff rounds so ...
  20. Whenever they mention the A's catcher I can't help thinking of
  21. Rutshcmann is actually better year at the plate, though I think Mountcastle just catapulted over him in the RBI category Edit: Well 18 RBI now in 12 games, thats insane. I wonder if he does somehow manage to break Hack Wilson's record, woudl he be considered even if his average / OPS aren't typical for an MVP ...
  22. Mountcastle! 2 HR / 7 RBI Edit: Actually 9 RBI total, 7 of which came off 2 homers ...
  23. My avatar is a Russian guy that plays for the Washington Capitals, the local professional ice hockey team. I hear he's pretty good
