  1. Worst coaching job in the history of the NFL lol
  2. Wtf are we doing run the Dang ball
  3. Well, I guess the good news is our defense tends to take a quarter or so to get their heads out of their asses so maybe it should get better from here?
  4. 3rd and 9 and we are dropping chase young 10 yards in coverage?!? WTF
  5. Both Curtis Hodges and Thomas are out today. Anyone know if we elevated a tight end or Armah from the PS?
  6. Any links for full replays of the Denver game? We were at mile high but would love to rewatch it on TV
  7. Anybody got a good link or something to where I can watch the full game replay for free? Hate that I had to miss it but was out with the family in the Tetons and Yellowstone.
  8. Just saw we signed Jamison crowder to the PS. I like it. Hopefully can help Kaz develop as a punt returner and a solid reliable vet that can be called up if needed.
  9. Have we made a corresponding move to fill the roster spot from putting Obada on IR?
  10. I just heard about Obada to short term IR as well. Definitely sucks. But I disagree about the Dline. We played all year last year without Mathis and mostly Young so the only additional missing piece right now is Obada. It does hurt hurt we still have the entire interior from last year back and JSW/Toohill are solid players. Definitely a spot where we can sustain multiple losses for a few games.
  11. It will be interesting to see what happens with guys like Mathis, Hodges, Scott and maybe even Tinsley over the next week or so as they flex the roster to find spots for claims or signings. I think Mathis is almost a guarantee to start the season on IR. Hodges likely is the first cut candidate for them to try to move folks around, especially given Mayhew’s pointed comment about how they currently have 4 tight ends. I’m also curious about Armah and the PS squad. You’re allowed to keep guys on the PS but let them play in up to 3 games before you have to actually sign them onto the active roster for a fourth game. So I wonder if they’ll use him for games here and there according to opponents until other injuries occur and the math works out to bring him up full time. I also think Scott stays unless they find a fourth tackle they like more - I don’t think they cut him to make room for a different position. I’m glad we found a way to keep Tinsley on the initial but 7 receivers is such a luxury, especially one that isn’t currently an asset on ST. So while he’s fairly far down the list of bubble guys imo, he’s not entirely safe. Use of short term IR will be interesting as well. You can designate up to 8 guys to return from IR. Assuming Mathis is one, I’m not sure they’re going to IR anyone else (one at the most) with that designation to start the season as it could hamper them down the line. But eight is a lot and here’s to praying we don’t use many.
  12. Including us. Especially with Terry currently hurt. Samuel is a weapon and a versatile player that fits things EB likes to do to a T and can really help mess with defensive alignments and presnap confusion even as a decoy. He’s unique on our roster from that perspective even with AG. If Terry is down Dyami likely is the second outside guy and Samuel will stay in that role. He’s worth more to us than the compensation we would receive even on an expiring contract. I don’t think this is something we will or should entertain.
  13. No. And they are not even remotely the same. Lol
  14. Or the best possible time so no one else will claim him and we can develop him on the PS lol
  15. I’m surprised by Williams to IR because that means Gore is likely to be their PS guy based on the assumption of Patterson not being on the PS since he was an earlier cut. Surprises me because I would definitely put Patterson on the PS over Gore but unless there is a pickup elsewhere those are the two other backs we’ve given carries to.
  16. Jonathan Williams was IR’d per nfl.com. I believe that ends his season.
  17. Tracking, I just don’t think it’s something to be too concerned about when the guy you’re exposing is probably tinsley or armah or someone like that. I just don’t think it’s super likely someone picks them up, or that they would agree to it if they’re aware they’ll be signed after said other person is IR’d. But totally get it. It’s the game you gotta play sometimes so there is certainly risk involved. But losing a bottom of the roster guy shouldn’t be too painful.
  18. Right. They do it every year tho. Initial 53 is never the opening day 53. So probably keep eleven then IR him, go into the season with 10 and immediately bring up someone else at another position.
  19. I’d keep ten, eleventh being Mathis on IR. Let him heal that calf and have some more time from last years injury to recover. By the time he’s available to come off IR there will be open spots from other injuries.
  20. The way they keep emphasizing that it was “self reported” which is really not a prefix I’ve ever heard before makes me wonder if there are specific protocols for it. Maybe it’s the same protocol regardless of self reported vs diagnosed but perhaps it wasn’t diagnosed and it triggered the protocol when he called it that vs letting the team docs do their diligence.
  21. I think there is a decent chance of the IR game with a couple players like Mathis, Danny Johnson, etc. Mathis would be the most likely in my opinion. Lets them keep more guys and by the time the IR players are allowed to return I’m sure we’d have other injuries so wouldn’t necessarily have to cut anybody.
  22. I personally think he’s worth more than a fifth I’m just speculating on the way the market seems to work for player trades. That’s why I want to keep him. And I don’t think and definitely hope they aren’t looking to move him. I agree wholeheartedly with you about never having enough good corners. Just struck me as odd that a clued in guy like Keim specifically mentioned something.
