I’m curious as to how you can ‘not buy into all the allegations’ and believe “he’ll rebound from all this” when you have “not read what they all are”? Seems confusing unless you are just basing your conclusions on a self admitted lack of information. Ask your buddy if he needs help drinking beers or throwing stuff off a bridge (or both) because I could use a set of those bad boys!

I think it is very telling that despite some (very few) players not being at the voluntary workouts that they have enough respect for our coaching staff to be in touch with them and let them know what their plans are. That's pretty rare these days around the league. It's a good sign that these guys are buying in to what Rivera is preaching.

I see what you are saying and yes that could happen...but that can’t be plan A and probably shouldn’t be plan B either. Three seasons from now we have no idea if this DEF is going to be “elite”. I mean, it’s not even elite now and three years is a lifetime in the NFL.

That was the most “likable” Dan has ever appeared to me. So, I definitely agree with you...I would just leave him as well...but I might not barricade the door on my way out.

I think it more accurately looks like...for the rookies...that if they play well and have good attitudes/character they will be rewarded with a second contract...at a market rate...just like Moses was rewarded.

Apke’s only sliver of hope to make the roster is his quality ST play...and Forrest is probably the nail in that coffin. He is a non-factor at FS imo.

I doubt anyone here will be unhappy to see what NFL Total Access thinks the WFT starting DEF is...if they are...they should take a compass, shoot a back azimuth, find their ass, and pull their head out of it.

I’ll take it a step further...there is no such thing as a reach unless you can confirm it with all 32 teams. How in the world can Davis be a reach if the Giants...picking at 20... were considering taking him? How can St. Juste be a reach if there was a team trying to trade with the WFT to take him with the pick that he was taken with by WFT? If even only one other team is willing to take a player around the same pick that they are drafted...it is not a reach...no matter what tv, internet, extremeskins armchair draft gurus say. The easiest way to try and make yourself feel smart or feel better about your evals is to claim a pick is a reach because you had them being picked much later.

It appears that some/most of the internet talent evaluators didn’t bother to watch the Senior Bowl practices/videos. This guy seems to have had a really good week against guys that were drafted and will be given a shot to play in the league (not scrubs basically). TE does seem to be a really difficult position to figure out though. Lots of good player taken later in drafts.

He’ll be going into his age 30 season at that point so it won’t make that much of a difference 😉
