It was a joke on my part...but I can still have it in the back of my head to keep my feeling warm and safe at night.

Bezos was never going to buy less than 100% of the team. This makes it a much easier process for him to buy the whole thing from Snyder. #chessnotcheckers 🤞

Financially it makes more sense to get your LT in the draft when at all possible. Look at the LT contracts compared to MLB/OLB (not edge rushers). If WFT wants to re-sign as many of their own DLs, TMac, etc...they better find the future LT in the draft and not FA. But they do need to have an actual human body for LB this year as well...
-
Of course...rationally that is what teams should do...but we are dealing with humans. Have you watched the draft? 😆 It’s amazing how players fall to teams all the time that just happen to be at their greatest position of need. I highly doubt the “need” was the tie breaker. More likely they bumped up the player/position they needed a little (or a lot in some cases) to justify taking said player when they did. Players get taken early ever year that end up not being as good as players taken 20-40 picks later. Some of that is scouting deficiencies but some is drafting for need. Hopefully everyone knows that by now but you are exactly right. But the problem comes in when team consciously (or subconsciously) fudge their draft boards. Players should be damn close in grade when you do that...not just in the same ballpark.

I respectfully disagree...I don’t want them having to take any position early because they don’t have anyone even on the roster. Use FA to fill all the holes (even if it is with jag players) and then draft players by how you have them rated...not because you have nothing at their position. But what the **** do I know...I’m a Tottenham supporter 😕

I know you're just passing on the report SIP...but I don't get why JAX would be in on Samuel that hard. I get the Urban/OSU/one of my guys thing but they have Shenault (who is very similar to Samuel) and Chark and this is a really good/deep WR class. I feel like they would be in on someone like Jones or Higgins (Tier 2 types) and then draft a guy. Must not like Shenault's tape...or Urban really wants someone he is familiar with.

This team needs to find: 2 WR 2 LB 2 TE That isn’t all coming from just the draft or just FA...but you sure as hell don’t want to be going into the draft having to find all these things. could be signing some mid/lower tier guys as well to fill out the depth chart going into the draft. WR Cole from Jax could be a guy they take a cheap chance on along with a bigger name at WR. They almost have to get a legit TE in FA. And obviously need at least one legit LB before the draft.

Maybe Ron and Kyle just didn’t mesh. Ron wants people he feels he can trust and that have the experience/ability to do the GM job. Kyle obviously didn’t fill those categories in Ron’s mind. Ron also has talked endlessly about culture. You cannot condemn the son for the father’s sins...but...Kyle’s mentor (and father) was not known for having a very positive culture while he was the Chargers GM. In fact, he did a lot of things that would remind people of our recently departed Bruce (not dead just not employed). Maybe Kyle and Ron just look at how to run a team differently and maybe don’t even get along that well.
