A New Beginning - Embrace The Noodle

There really shouldn't be any argument between signing Bradford/Sanchez/Kap/E.J./Clemons/insert vet sitting at home...it's just a waste of time imo...who cares? The player signed is to come in if Colt gets slightly banged up (but can play the next week) and finish a game...and hopeful win that game. And any of those guys could win a game at any time. The difference between any of those guys finishing out the season if Colt goes down is negligible. The real discussion should be if the Skins should puck someone off a PS in hopes that they can turn into a legit backup QB in this league. It would be nice to have a couple capable QBs (even at just the backup level) going into next off-season.

    Allen/Ioannidis/Payne = D-Block

They are 8th in total yards but their avg yards per carry is well over 5 (I think 5.6 or 5.8). Still not any good at stopping the run...just been better at getting big leads in the first half.

    2018 Season Injury News

Stroman and Johnson both returned punts in the preseason. Hopefully they both get a shot before Crowder

    Predict The Skins W/L

After watching last year I'm not sure how anyone can pick this team to win less than 6 games. This team was destroyed by injuries and still won 7. The offense moved the ball well but didn't score a lot and the defense (after week 5) couldn't stop the run. I have to think the range is 6-10 to 10-6. 6-10 if things go even worse than last year...is that really possible outside of a bus crash? 10-6 if Smith keeps the Offense running smoothly, the DL is legit and the secondary holds their own.

Curse of the Redskins' 2nd round picks

@Califan007 Wally Kleine thinks you are a real dick for starting this thread...and Shane Collins doesn't think much of you either!

    Cut-Down Day

The best way to describe Brantley, from what I remember of him in college, is disruptive. He didn’t always get the tackle/sack but he was always seemed to be getting penetration and was a handful for Olines. Also, Brantley with Settle & Hood as the 2nd group as a DL rotation has me much less worried about that 2nd unit getting gashed by the run.

Press Release: #REDSKINS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

I don’t know...being one snap away from PT behind an injury prone player like CT isn’t that bad of a spot to be in. No better way to prove your worth to your current team (or potential future team) then to get regular season PT.

Official 2018 Redskins Training Camp/Preseason Thread

So now 5th rd picks are a waste if they don't become starters? I guess all the backups and STers should come from UDFAs...

Welcome to the Washington Redskins Troy Apke S Penn St

I think Apke is a perfect candidate to be the 4th (behind Everett) or 5th (Ladler, Smithson, or Blanding...in that order) safety and play on all the ST this season. Then next year make that typical (for guys with talent and work ethic) jump from year 1 to year 2 and become a solid backup safety. If he has to play a lot of meaningful snaps on DEF this season it probably won’t be pretty...but that’s not his fault. He didn’t draft himself in the 4th rd and it’s the coaching staff’s job to get him up to speed...as long as he’s willing to work.
