  1. Stafford's never won a playoff game and Goff won one just a few weeks ago with a broken thumb. I'd say the Lions did great in this trade.
  2. The 80s was pretty lopsided towards QBs in the AFC. NFC had the defenses to stop them though.
  3. Smith didn't need to leak that story to further his career. The scouting community is a small one and people in front offices around the league know what happened with the Haskins pick without having to read about it in the media. If anything it wasn't Ron bending for Dan, it was Ron saying enough of the leak game. That might be what Keim and Cooley are talking about with regards to Kyle's connection to Bruce. He's playing Bruce's game with the leaks.
  4. Jimmy's contract isn't all the bad really. The 49ers have paid out all the gurenteed portion mostly. And picking at #7 they're not gurenteed to get a young QB they like.
  5. My guess is he'll be a 49er. Stafford probably wants to play for lil'Shanny and the 49ers can send Jimmy G to Detroit so they at least have a QB going into the season.
  6. Colts, Pat's or us seem like the logical choices. Pat's have higher picks but BB trades for players when it's a buyer's market.
  7. Yeah with the 3rd episode things are starting to become more clear. I watched a video also about a deleted end credit scene from Endgame which would have set things up for this show. Well I can't remember if they shot the scene or just cut from filming it last minute but there was concept art for it.
  8. I thought the news guys were calling for some combination of Hurney and Mayhew weeks ago. Seems they were pretty close to being right to me.
  9. Sounds like his father, AJ. Also sounds like John Dorsey. They're calling the Chiefs/Browns game this weekend the Dorsey bowl since he's responsible for a lot of the talent on those two rosters. Dorsey was good at acquiring talent but he didn't do well with the culture part which is why both clubs fired him.
  10. I thank him for what he did last night, but yeah I would fire him. Strange to say about a HC who won a SB just 3 years ago, but it's made him arrogant. Should have known when he wrote a book after winning the SB. You should at least win a couple before doing a book. Or maybe he can write his next book "STUPID How I lost my team and got fired for playing Nate Sudfeld in the 4th Quarter of a close game because he's been with the team for a few years and I wanted to get him some reps"
  11. This is where I'm at. Kyle's done okay, better then past personnel people we've had, but there are a lot of holes on this roster still. His dad had some success as a GM so he does have some pedigree. Well, AJ had 3 excellent drafts from '04-'06 that stacked San Diego for a nice run, but his drafts fell off after that. Ron wants someone he's comfortable with and from what Ron's said in interviews about Kyle they're not fully on the same page. I hope he sticks around but if a new person comes in wouldn't surprise me if Kyle leaves.
  12. Who's the punter? Owner/Head Scout would be Dan and Bruce, or is Bruce the punter and Dan both owner/head scout lol.
  13. Color me skeptical on there being a lot of QB moves this offseason. Derek Carr maybe because I don't think he's ever been Gruden's guy and he got that last contract before Gruden came back. Stafford could force a trade but that's never been his style and I can't see a new GM/HC wanting to do it, unless it's a GM/HC who like Garoppolo and they trade Stafford to SF for him. Some of the others (Ryan, Wentz, Cousins) would take some creativity because of the cap implications.
  14. Yeah didn't think about the cap hit. It would up to Atlanta and their new GM/HC to decide if they want to role with him and if so restructure his deal to lower the cap hit. And I guess Stafford could force a trade out of Detroit. I saw the report Roethlisberger plans to return next season and he's got $40M cap hit in 2021. Puts the Steelers in a tough spot. They've been restructuring and pushing the cap hit back for years and now they're stuck with it unless they release him or he retires. I think they save $19M if they release him.
  15. I'm not necessarily saying Atlanta would trade Ryan to the Jets to move up. Just saying trading Ryan away to anyone would make more sense because they're better positioned at #4 to get one of the top QBs where Detroit is not. And if the Jets decide to ride with Darnold over Fields or Wilson they could trade back with Atlanta for extra draft picks.
  16. I don't get the Stafford trade talk. The Lions don't have another QB on the roster. They're currently picking #11. What GM and HC are going to walk in there and say yeah lets trade Stafford and ride with Chase Daniels and whatever QB we can get at #11? It's possible they could draft a QB at #11 but if they did it's more likely they'd ride with Stafford for 2021, keep the rookie on the bench for a year and then trade Stafford in 2022. To me a lot of steps have to be taken first for Detroit to make a move on Stafford this year. Atlanta makes more since drafting #4 and trading Matt Ryan because they're in position to get Fields or Wilson. If the Jets decide to stick with Darnold the Falcons could even jump up to #2.
  17. You would also have to decide on his 5th year option this offseason if you make a trade for him which I think would be around $25M in 2022.
  18. Eh I think Mark's getting what he wanted out of the Gruden. Gruden's the face of the franchise and not him, and who wants to look Mark's face anyway. The Raider's will be a 7-9 win team with Gruden which keeps Raider Nation thinking "we're close" and keeps them interesting.
  19. At this point I hope they just retcon the entire ST and start over. I know they won't but it makes me sad they're limited into having to tie in what they're doing now into that story line.
  20. Probably one of the better covers I've heard. Didn't know Fishbone was still around. Loved these guys back in the 90s and saw them live a couple times. Glad they're still around. Fish is still one the best metal drummers out there. Makes me want to back and listen to "Give a Monkey a Brain.."
  21. I don't think Cowher will come back. It wouldn't be surprise me if Mike Shanahan pushes to get that Jets job though.
  22. When they announced Phase 4 and it was mostly TV shows I kinda said the same thing, but I've learned not to doubt Feige. I think they'll do it in a way where the TV shows won't be required viewing for the movies but they'll give you more backstory if you want to watch them. Sorta like you didn't have to watch Antman and the Wasp or Captain Marvel prior to Endgame to know what was going on.
