  1. Just expensive. But waiting to find one that works and then mass producing them would add months to the process (as well as raise tensions on who gets what/when)
  2. They are producing a few different ones so that if one is found effective they are ready to distribute it immediately. In fairness, this is something that is being done right.
  3. They have the Celtics right where they want them!
  4. That and if they had walked away the owners would have cancelled the current CBA and lord knows none of the players want that right now.
  5. Maybe...hear me out...just maybe....Kawhi was carried by Toronto to the championship last year. Now he's on a team without winners and.....2-2 against Dallas. (Winter is coming)
  6. Couple of things. Worldometer, while a useful tool, has some serious flaws in how it collects and reports data. The large increase is cases is 20-40yo which also explains why the amount of infections is climbing but not the # of deaths.
  7. We have been under 700 per day (avg) for a little while now. Cases totals and hospitalizations have definitely gone up, but the total deaths per day has been steadily declining.
  8. SOAB! No wonder Austin, Hunter, Will and I always lost at those things! Late 80's were a wild time in RIC!
  9. That looks like the hoop it up tournaments I used to play in as a kid in Richmond.
  10. Wouldn't that result in more then 5 players on the court? Bench tech?
  11. Quicksilver could get back on defense ahead of them (or at least at the same speed as them)
  12. Starting 5 of Marvel hero's to play a starting 5 of DC hero's. No super obscure and they can use their powers but they have to play within the rules of basketball (i.e. Dr Strange can't mind bend himself from spot to spot on offense since that would be traveling)
  13. I get what you are saying but the players are pretty realistic about their chances and there are more then you think not wanting to do this.
  14. That and there are a bunch of people that aren't super thrilled with the idea of living in a hotel for weeks on end. Imagine you are playing for the right to lose in the 1st round against the Bucks. Do you really want to ramp up now for a training camp, play some games, then lose in 4 or 5 and go home? Is the risk worth the reward?
  15. Listening to everyone talk today, I have serious doubts that the NHL or NBA playoffs actually happen.
  16. He also was a rival to a fat guy that dressed like a penguin, a lady in a cat suit, a lady that dressed like a plant, and his protege was a boy in tights.
  17. A lot of that is because of how the current administration wants to twist things. Reporter: Teargas was used to clear the protesters. WH: Liar, we didnt use teargas Reporter: Fine, it wasnt called teargas, it was the same thing but a different brand name. WH: See, you lied. Reporter: Ok, chemical agent. Is that better,
  18. That's going to be the key. Also need to quarantine the staff that is cleaning the hotel rooms, providing the transportation to/from the rink, etc. It CAN def happen but the logistics are for sure hard. In positive news, this is hilarious.
  19. There is a lot of apprehension around it. Let's say Ovi tests positive in the finals with the series tied 2-2 but he has shown zero symptoms. Does that positive test get released? Does he sit the rest of the finals? The NBA plan to only test if you show symptoms isn't really any better but it removes that dynamic.
  20. The way it is being floated, if you test positive you are pulled out for 14 days, but everyone else can keep going. They are going to test either every day or every other day.
  21. 3 games per day, teams play every other day. 12-3 (clean) 4-7 (clean) 8-11 (clean). Practices on other ice in the city. But an ideal hub has 2 or 3 places to play the games. The logistics to the quarentine portion as they stand now make me think this has a low probability of happening.
  22. If you remove NY from the data then its basically been in the low to mid 20s the whole time. (Then and now)
