  1. Imagine if Daniels beats Caleb Williams...what a boost that would be for the franchise.
  2. Think about it, 3 of RR's top picks on defense will be in dogfights for playing time this year with 2 of them possibly on the roster bubble (Mathis, Forbes). Not to mention Ron's prize pick, Chase Young is already gone as is Sweat. What a testament to his time in DC.
  3. I just listened to Ed McCaffery on Sirius NFL channel and he is ecstatic that his son Luke is gonna be playing in Cliff Kingsbury's offense. If that's not encouraging then I don't know what is. He went on to say how great Jamison Crowder is gonna be as a mentor for Luke and how solid our WR corp is. He then mentioned how he's pumped to see Luke play with Jayden Daniels.
  4. "Crashes in like storm waves on rocks"...."He wants it". Nuff said....sign me up.
  5. Read up on Kingsbury's offense and think about 2012...you'll start feeling movement.
  6. I'll bet Kingsbury loved Daniels all along....
  7. He'll need to have a great preseason, hopefully Hartman can get the ball to him.
  8. Just remember the 2012 Skins with RGlll, we had 2 rookies go off that season because of the offensive scheme...the other was #46. Who's to say Sinnott can't be involved from game one?
  9. And he's gonna learn from a great vet teammate in Ertz....this can't be understated. Ertz is great at getting open and can hopefully pass some of those skills on to Sinnott.
  10. Good read here on Kingsbury's offense, gets into great detail. TE's will be used a lot and so will crossing routes. Spread the field mentality. Best case scenario we've got 2012 all over again, minus the ending with the QB. There are lots of reasons to be excited because we've upgraded in so many areas. https://www.si.com/nfl/bears/news/fiction-and-non-fiction-on-kliff-kingsbury-offense
  11. Between this kid and Newton we added two HUGE young pieces to this defense. Add in the free agent signings like the bookend tackles and Frankie Luvu with Bobby Wagner and we are gonna bring the juice on defense. Bobby Witt must be absolutely stoked. Wouldn't it be great to bring in Xavien Howard to replace Fuller as starting CB?
  12. I agree, and I think Forbes slight build is gonna be a liability for him compared to the guys Peters has brought in and I don't think Forbes brings anything else to the table as far as versatility. He's pretty much a lockdown corner who can't lockdown.....unless he makes huge strides over this offseason. This is a developing situation!
  13. Me too, but my real hope is that our coaching staff will take advantage of mismatches like most coaching staffs do. RR and EB never did this. Remember how the Eagles abused us with AJ Brown whenever we put Forbes on him? I hope Kingsbury knows enough, and I'm confidents he will, to abuse mismatches.....Ekeler and Ertz will help with this too.
  14. Good call here, would be a great Sunday night season opener in prime time.
  15. Given our signings at CB does Emmanuel Ford need to be somewhat concerned?
  16. I'm intrigued and encouraged by all 4 of the corners/safties Peters signed as UDFA's. I'll bet at least 3 of them land on the roster or PS.
  17. I think I agree with you...when you're a 4-13 team with new parts/pieces literally all across your organization go for adding more pucks in future drafts if it's there. I'd be curious as to how trade offers AP rejected to move back?
  18. Not a judgement, it's an observation. Big difference. It's also not a criticism of Peters, more a comparison to what Roseman did.
  19. Maybe he'll be a similar player to what his dad was in his career? Ed McCaffery was very good, always open and made contested catches...good route runner from what I recall.
  20. There's always a potential reason to deal a guy, especially with new management coming in. Sometimes new management tears everything down and brings in all of their own guys although that doesn't seem to be the case here. Besides that, Jonathon Allen is heading into his 8th year and the prime time to deal him to a contender is likely right around now, especially after the draft pick of Newton? If dealing Allen can land us an Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel that might be a deal that Peters is very intrigued by? You can also take the money you would've owed Allen to pay Aiyuk or Deebo.....makes sense to me.
  21. I'm with ya, and I can't stand Roseman, but he may have had his best draft ever this weekend. That being said, I'm willing to give Peters a learning curve.
