    If it's true that we went hard after Hunter, would we go just as hard after Bosa? Would the Chargers trade Bosa for our 2nd third round pick just to get out of his salary cap hit? This would essentially be a Chase Young for Bosa swap on our end.

    Does Ekeler bang the drum for one of his former teammates to join him in DC? No way we trade for one of these guys but maybe we sign one of them after they get released?

    I'm going to mildly dispute this because we don't know what the new coaches will be able to get out of guys like KJ Henry, Toohill, Smith-Williams, etc.....Henry looks like he could be a starting caliber DE based on the small sample size we saw. You may be right in the end but I think Armstrong is a quality starting DE and one or two of these others could step up too.

    I remember reading where the Bengals were very down on Jonah Williams...they likely don't want to pay him and won't mind losing him. He's a no for me.

    Why would Chicago send a sizable contingent to Bo Nix's pro day? Makes no sense unless they're trading out of #1 overall.

    JDR played a lot of zone with our secondary...makes me wonder how good they'd be in man where you don't have to think as much and just match up? Maybe our corners and safeties are better than we think they are? Who knows. I'll bet Forbes is happy to push re-set... We've had a lot of youth on the back end in RR's time, can they develop into solid players under Coach Witt?

    I think many think of Mariota as a runner because he can't pass.

    I think the combination of having to pick up his 5th year option in May (23 mil guaranteed) and his failure to show that he can be a franchise QB has teams balking at trading for him. Teams just don't see enough in Fields to make a serious financial commitment to him. Even Minnesota and Denver, two teams desperate for a QB won't pony up anything for Fields. Very interesting situation the Bears find themselves in now.

    Mariota is terrible, hoping he gets cut in final cuts.

    Not me....he doesn't fit the work ethic we're gonna establish here. After seeing him quit on the play in the NFC Championship game I don't know any team that would be wise to sign him. He needs to go to the Mike Singletary attitude adjustment camp for a year.

    Peters seems to like under the radar players with great work ethic. The guys he's bringing in are seriously gonna change the culture of the team and bring an edge. Given steady QB play I seriously expect to be very competitive this year just based on the type of coaches we have and the guys we're signing.
