  1. F -.......is that even a grade? I always though F was as bad as it can get and now we have F-? So we got 3 F- and two F's......we're gonna need to start thinking about taking the GED.
  2. Did Peters give off a vibe either way on what he thinks about Howell? I think it's really interesting that there are reports of teams being interested in Sam this early in the offseason.
  3. I hope we go make some trade backs in rounds 2 and 3 to pick up additional picks and really shore up the OL through the draft. I think we can add defensive help in free agency but we have so many holes I guess we need to draft whoever is highest on our board when our picks come up?
  4. I agree, as tempting as Barkley is he is always hurt....we have too many needs to take on his injury risk.
  5. Also, I don't remember any of our players giving him a ringing endorsement to be the next head coach here. He didn't come here to make friends and it sounds like he succeeded.
  6. Tom Waddle, who covers the Bears, said two weeks ago that Fields is good as gone in Chicago...we'll see. I think the Bears would be wise not to trade Bears too soon as opposed to waiting but Waddle thought they'd trade him sooner than later to not get stuck holding onto him.
  7. Sam Howell led the entire NFL, 32 teams, in pass attempts (612) as a 1st year QB. That averages out to 36 attempts per game. This is coaching malpractice in my eyes. I can't believe Sam made it through all 17 games and it can't be understated how tough he is. I believe EB is out to prove EB is a good coach when in fact he's really not.
  8. Yep....the Eagles won their only SB with backup Nick Foles who's best asset as a QB was being smart and getting the ball to where it needed to go. He ran the offense to perfection. If we can coach Sam up and not put everything on him like RR did I think Sam can be a good asset for us.
  9. Just the fact that several teams are interested in Sam tells me we should hold onto him so this new staff can judge what they have in him. We will need a backup QB too and the jury is still out on how good Sam can be. Judging him solely on last season seems unfair to me.
  10. This, if true, and I agree with this, is why I can't totally grasp taking Maye or Daniels at #2 over trading back or just taking MHJ and one of the other QB's later in the 1st round or in round 2. For me, Maye, Daniels and CW need to be much better QB prospects than the next tier of QB's coming out because any of them could crap out as much as they could work out. Kurt Warner saying that evaluating these QB's on college film is basically impossible makes this whole QB draft thing seem like a crapshoot. Just seeing how the Niners lucked into Purdy after trading a fortune for Trey Lance seems to make Warner's point. I also don't feel like we can afford to waste this #2 pick again like what happened with Chase Young. We need to be sure we get an all pro player with this pick or with picks we get by trading back. All this being said, I understand the draft has risk but a player like MHJ doesn't seem like a prospect with a 60% chance we'll be wrong on . Maybe our analytics guy, Chen, will have some thoughts on all of this as well?
  11. Whats wrong with Hunter Henry? If he doesn't break the bank I think he'd be fine to pair with a rookie QB for at least a year or two. Still only 29 years old and gets himself open. What are your concerns?
  12. What is holding Bo Nix back from being in the elite QB prospects? 45 TD passes vs 3 ints? He can run....seems tough and smart, has a decent arm. 6'2 inches tall. He seems like a comp to Joe Burrow for me? How is Maye such a better prospect? I'm sure it's been pointed out by many but I like what I see in Nix's highlites package. In fact, I'd be more than fine taking MHJ at 2 and finding a way to get Nix with our 2nd pick.
  13. It'll be like building an expansion team with all the new faces. We're gonna need to have a team banquest in June just to let everyone meet and get to know each other.
  14. That's the first way I looked at it when I heard the cap news but maybe the agents will encourage their players to hit the market to see their values before re-signing with their old teams given that everyone has more money? I know this, guys like Mahomes are gonna hold out for contract renegotiations for sure given the cap raise.
  15. I just did a little research on the top QB's coming out and found this sentence to be very intriguing. (via Ian Cummings, PFN) By season’s end, Nix completed 364 of 470 attempts — a record 77.4% completion rate — for 4,508 yards, 45 touchdowns, and just three picks. He operated at a level of efficiency rarely seen in his final two seasons, and he also has the talent to generate big plays.
