  1. I’m sorry. I can’t stand Sweat. The DE always has back away. The QB was further from Sweat than Barkley. Therefore Sweat is responsible for Jones. Not Sweat. Selfish, selfish, selfish. If Young comes back strong when he returns I 100% trade Sweat in the offseason for whatever I can get. Can’t pay him.
  2. Again, I feel like sometimes people live in the moment. We are lacking talent in too many places defensively. In other places we have developing talent but it’s missing. Against high end guys that lack of high end talent shows. We have a good D, not great, and it needs the offense to be functional to be able to really pin their ears. Sweat does it anyways which kills us. Have a big lead means when he does it it helps the team and not hurts it.
  3. It’s been like this from the first drive. Got saved by a Jones fumble and one really good D drive. The Giants are moving the ball and we aren’t keeping them on schedule. Tough to stop teams when you let them be the hammer.
  4. It was but this game is a classic example of how limited he is. He’s not bad at the throws he’s capable of, and when he lets his legs be a factor (hasn’t done that lately). But he can’t convert the quicks, the deeps, etc. it hurts us.
  5. Look what my phone did. Damnit, Apple! Clearly monitoring me and my online habits and trying to get me in trouble with the Hive
  6. If I’m Gibson I’m thankful he’s taking the down to down beating and not me and I can be used like I always should have. I’m also saying, “hey, you’re a RB by trade, I’m one by necessity and flexibility and I can still run harder than you young gun!”
  7. By the way, I typed Heinicke. I just saw now my phone corrected it to Heinous.
  8. Big drive here. Need a stop. We get the ball in the second half so that field goal is a great get if we stop them from scoring here.
  9. Heinous doesn’t have the arm strength for the LoS sideline throws. Stop doing those.
  10. Gibson has always run hard. But it’s like he and BRob look at each other and says “oh, you want to get yards after contact. I’m going to do it better.” Fun competition to watch.
  11. So the quick to Sims and the exit to Robinson both had way too much loft behind them.
  12. Wow. Good thing McLaurin caught that slant, folks. That was behind him. DB was salivating and McLaurin reached back for it.
  13. Like I’ve been saying, I know we got a turnover and a great D series but the Giants have had success against us all day.
  14. Was that Montez Sweat who totally blew his contain and raised his hands like he was being held on the DJ first down run? No one can sell me he’s worth what he’s going to be paid.
  15. You know, sometimes I think you miss the messages through your tunnel vision. If we get an OL in the first it means it’s not a QB. That’s my point. Also that Heinicke can’t be our QB if the OL isn’t fixed. He’s not good enough to overcome that obstacle. But yes, your point is true. Any quarterback needs an upgraded OL
  16. Even then the RT needs to be upgraded. Leno is adequate but if a LT is there in the draft you can play him at RT, bump Cosmi (I count Cosmi at guard as a new OL) a new LG is also needed. I’m fine with center if Larsen/Roullier can both stay healthy. But we need two guards and a tackle.
  17. If this team rolls with Heinicke next season for whatever reason… you cannot argue or convince me that the OL doesn’t need three new quality starters on it.
  18. Yup. Just have to understand they’re going to make plays. Have to limit them and take advantage of our opportunities. Good shape.
  19. The Giants are going to move the ball all game on us, folks. They have a strong running attack with Jones and Barkley. We need to win the passing downs and keep them off schedule just enough to create opportunities
  20. Not sure what this means. You said it would be over with a touchdown, didn’t you? That’s what I meant. Did I quote the wrong guy?
  21. What a great touchdown pass by Heinicke. What I mean is: great job getting the ball in a spot to McLaurin so he can do the heavy lifting. That is 100% something that is a major credit to Heinicke. He gets the ball to McLaurin and lets him do work. Smart, smart football.
  22. I was a huge Brian Robinson guy this offseason. I’m glad I hitched my proverbial wagon to that gentleman.
  23. Watch Kam Curl. He makes the play. The temptation when the back is heading to the sideline is for you to sell out for the tackle. Against Barkley that’s usually a broken tackle and open field to run. Curl closed down, got to Barkley’s outside hip and didn’t sell out for the tackle. That forced Barkley back in (hence the term force defender) and our D rallied to the tackle. Beautiful play.
  24. Us not signing Payne is going to cost a lot of money next year.
