@Koolblue13 he’s special. Also, I love Turner’s gameplan. They see ATL is playing mostly man coverage so they are flaring backs and using crossing routes and Atlanta can’t defend it. This is the kind of gameplan that Heinicke excels in, by the way. Also, I do have to add RE: Heinicke: he’s improving as a QB. He’s making better decisions more consistently and doing well with third down decision making. That makes him a more viable starter despite limitations. And yes, it’s a visible improvement from the past.

Until the name is “Amazons” and then you’ll complain about that, too. -

And when he finds something he deems better, half the fanbase will say it's not better and complain about that and ask for another re-brand. It's silly. We are the Commanders until otherwise noted. -

The Redskins are gone, folks. I think some people need to let go. People are hanging on to that name and squeezing tight. But you have to move on. It’s not coming back. I get it. The memories. The days when you would smile, and throw your jersey on and enjoy football Sundays in the 80s and early 90s are a memory you will never forget. The fun bunch, the merch, the teams. It’s hard to let go of your first. Your first is magical. You will always remember how it made you feel. But it’s gone. It left you. It had to. Things were so toxic around it that letting go is a necessary part of the healing process. We will always love it for what it gave us, but it also hurt us. For years. And years. It went out and didn’t call us to say good night. To be whole we have to heal and never forget the past but know that it is behind us. We’re a car without a reverse gear, folks. No going back. Beep beep. -
This QB class has been touted for years as being the one to wait for. It’s not. I know I’ve been saying it for a few months and I’m a semi broken record but this QB class is not one to really make you go nuts. There’s potential in it. Levis could be a player at some point, for instance. But it has one player that I think is a dude teams are going to want: Bryce Young. Everything else is “eh”. RB seems fairly loaded. Haven’t watched receivers in detail yet but that seems like it’s not as good as past years but there’s some guys. Going to be interesting to see how this class plays out and how I evaluate it when I start watching these guys but overall I can’t say I’m all that impressed. Looks like it might be a good D class though.

Agreed. It would be kind of stupid. And we’d be the laughing stock of the league except this time with a new owner! I can see them redoing the logo and that kind of thing, though. The taco holder would be gone. Jerseys reworked. Stuff like that. But to many people’s dismay I think the Commanders are here to stay. -
He’s not catching enough touchdowns to be all-pro. I think Diggs, Hill, Jefferson, Adams and Waddle are just about locks if they don’t consider Kupp due to the injury. Lamb has more media coverage so he’s probably closer to the conversation. Terry will need to get in the end zone 8-10 more times and be at about 1300 yards or more to sneak in there. Not sure he can do that with Heinicke but hey, a great philosopher by the name of Kevin Garnett once said, “ANNNYYYYTTHHHIIIIINNNNGGGGG ISSS POSSSSSSSIIIIIBBBBBBLLLLLEEEEEEE!”

I don’t know, does it? I mean I think Jimmy G is a better QB than Heinicke but isn’t he just kind of more of the same? I think I’d rather take the money on Jimmy and put together a great line and great running attack and see what Howell and Heinicke can do than tie up money on Jimmy. By Jimmy’s admission he’s just now getting more comfortable with the Shanahan offense (not that he didn’t know it, but he’s finally to a point where it’s natural). That’s tough to throw in a guy that we are expecting to come here and play the same as he is for SF. I agree, though. NYJ with Salah makes a LOT of sense for Jimmy.

About time. His entitled play is the anti Heinicke. We (I) give Heinicke **** for his physical tools but I have also said many times that he does everything else you want your QB to do. At almost elite levels. Can you imagine if we had Zach Wilson’s mentality and Heinicke’s mentality on the same team? Night and day. Hopefully the young man learns from this and bounces back. He has talent, just has to understand the maturity aspect. “Do you think the offense let the defense down only scoring 3 points?” ”No.” It translates to Wilson saying this,”First off, sir, special teams scored those three points. We scored zero on the game. I didn’t see the defense out there scoring, did you? Oh and that special teams unit that scored three? They were -3 in point differential on the day.”

I don’t think we can surmise anything from anything. Heinicke is the wild card of all wild cards. Going to be interesting how it goes but it’s his show now so I’m buckling in and going to enjoy the ride either way. Meaningful football around Turkey Day and it’s not just us hoping to go on an unprecedented streak… it’s a start.
