  1. It's just a game, guys. Please don't ruin a good thread. Thank you.
  2. Smh, apparently we aren't allowed to have nice things. Really, the only thing I'm worried about is if Gooden, Pierce, or Gortat regress too much while we look to make sure we have competent role players off the bench (not Martel or Rasul, enough is enough). The reality is the Wall, Beal, Porter trio is going to be a force to be reckoned with and enough to attract certain veterans to come here because they like what they see. Gotta find silver lining, because it ain't fair to expect us to beat the #1 seed without our best player. I'm not sure if I'd want him out there even if he's "medically cleared" to play. Is it worth it?
  3. I feel you on Nene, and do feel he's out there to keep "going small" as a weapon, not who we are from now on. But it does feel that unless Nene is uncontested, he's not nearly as effective as he was last year in the playoffs. Atlanta barely survived us without Wall, but I feel this speaks more to the future of Nene on this team, not just this series. Having him come off the bench would be the beginning of the end, but this is the beginning of the end.
  4. Defense is what allows us to stay close even when Atlanta tries to put us away with their three-ball barrage. I did feel this was likely the most important game of the series because as much as we had and tired as Atlanta had to be, this was best chance to steal one in ATL. Keep attacking, and I am at the point of supporting Otto on whoever decides to get hot for them, whether it be Carrol or Horver (Horver I'd like to focus more on making sure he doesn't get going). So proud of this team, no fear.
  5. All this hype for this fight and he didn't do **** out there. Was more fun watching Pac try to get through, but my dad is right, Pac had to beat him, Floyd just had to not lose. Congratulations, bamma.
  6. It's obvious we're building a team capable of hitting people as hard in the mouth as possible. No complaints here.
  7. So...can we agree Atlanta is the number 1 seed for a reason and we still have to prepare for that?
  8. Stars starting to align for the Wizards. Stay humble and play your game.
  9. Section 400 - Row K - Seat 14 (First game ever in person - hope I don't jinx it : )
  10. Can we take a break on the "Fire Wittman" pitch fork parade at least until after the playoffs? But..but..but this and but..but..but that. I agree we need a coaching staff that better understands 21st Century NBA offenses in order to get over the top. Whoever that is, they better give a damn about defense the way Wittman does. I respect the cautious optimism until at least the second round (especially given our goal this season was no less then the ECF). It just makes it hard to enjoy this thread sometimes when there's the very real threat of us sweeping a Division Winner and we still have our minds made up to fire him anyway.
  11. Yes I would like a shot to me, too. didn't Grant Hill go to Duke? let it go, bro, lol
  12. Ya, I'm streaming now. Stupid nba. best thing Whitman can do is jus preach defense and get out the way. Great job so far, guys : )
  13.    It's painfully obvious CSN tries to hide how Looney Toon Randy can be sometime (note this video clip from the TSN feed). Foghorn Leghorn or not, I'm rooting for him and the Wizards and love it when we go right at people like we did the first three quarters. With Wall, Beal, and Porter coming right at you, we've shown a couple times alongside playing solid defense what we're capable of. I've seen us do that for stretches against Atlanta as well where even they are left shaking their heads, but we have to do it for all four quarters (which is the only reason this game was close). Hail to the Wizards : )
  14. I was laughing in pain today because everytime I see Randy "drawing up a play" with his back to the camera, I can just picture him with an etchi-sketch with players just shaking their heads at him.
  15.    I can dig it: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2015/03/22/chick-hernandez-dyes-his-hair-blond-in-support-of-marylands-richaud-pack/ Early last week, Maryland guard Richaud Pack dyed his hair blond in honor of his aunt, Paulette McClendon-Martin of Detroit, who passed away recently at age 69. His aunt was a lifelong blond; many of her family members decided to color their hair in her honor. Pack’s hair is conspicuous, but I’m not sure it can match Chick Hernandez’s. The Comcast SportsNet host (and Maryland fan grad) decided to go blond himself, as a gesture of support toward Maryland Pack. CSN’s Brent Harris showed Pack video of Hernandez’s new look in the Maryland locker room Saturday afternoon; the senior guard burst into laughter.
  16. Did Chic Hernandez lose a bet or something? Why in the world does he have blonde hair now? He looks like an overweight super sayian.
  17. ya, as much as some of yall were moaning about not getting noel, im not seeing it tonight. btw, otto with the start, loving it
  18. happy 1000 : ) if i was drinking milk, itd be coming out my nose right now
  19. Otto is too long not to be playing, he's like a fs out there sometimes. Announcers giving him credit. Glad this game is close, keep pushing
  20. I wouldn't have supported drafting Noel with that injury, this is a hindsight arugement. And like has been noted, there's no promise Randy would play Noel either.
  21. Wasn't Noel coming off a major knee injury and missed his entire rookie year? Otto will never get 30 points if we don't let him play.
  22. I remember being upset about trading Hamilton for Stackhouse, if that helps answer your question. Thought it was interesting this season when we were second best team in the east and the "loser free zone" concerning mention the redskins. My response was how many years back this thread has gone, probably same as you.All that and still here (tho I'll admit, 40 years is a long time)
