  1. John Wall - 21 / 9 / 5. I can live with that. Thank you Wizards for getting mad enough not to get blown out by 50, because you were well on your way. That was a nice little distraction from psychology homework...
  2. Talk about can't get right. I know beal is out, but looking at the box score, I don't believe it would've mattered. Can't see the game but could see the Spurs score bolt up towards the end of the half. I said this 5 game stretch between Memphis to Brooklyn would give me a better idea; all I can see is "not enough". Tonight, not even close. 26% shooting is completely unprofessional. I refuse to give up on Wall, and feel its ridiculous to call him a bust or even consider trading him. But we absolutely need somebody else on this team that can score. Same way getting a shooting guard in the draft was a must, we have to go after a big man that can score as well. Keep the Wall-Beal backcourt, everyone else is starting to look like trade bait. I still like Webster and Okafor, but it would be better for us if they weren't starters. How long are we planning to rebuild for? Are we like on a 40 year plan or something??? Edit: Serious...when does Ted expect us to be contenders? Is there any talk of a timetable here?
  3. That's your opinion. I still feel they need someone that even when everything is going to crap can still play at a high level and score to help keep the game close or even win it. From what I've read on his scouting report, he has the build to develop into a 4 guy, not just a 3. I really like what Okafor is going right now at the 5 and that there's no telling where we going to draft or even if who we get isn't a bust. They have players here to be competitive, and I'll be damned if I support them losing to get another lottery pick. We still haven't won anything trying that either.
  4. Second game in a row we won't stop turning the ball over. Should've pulled the trigger on the Rudy Gay trade when we had the chance...
  5. I hear you on not being 100% (who in this league is anyway), but 20 turnovers is ridiculous. We were shooting in the mid to high 50s percent from the field going into halftime. We gave them this game.
  6. Wiz not helping my case by some very stupid turnovers. Also, a lot of moments in this game where I can see the fans frustration with Wittman. Having Nene in iso with nobody in the corners when Okafor is going off in the first half was just weird. We don't suck when we're healthy and not turning the ball over, which we've showed the last couple games. Compared to what we've been up to lately, I'm disappointed and I feel I have the right to be so.
  7. Man, I know the game isn't over, but I really can't wait to hear the post-game from the players. What the hell is going on guys? Stupid turnovers, and not getting assists with good ball movement. It's like we're playing down to their level. I know it sounds crazy, but this team is better then this. I've seen it, we know it, this is beyond frustrating. ---------- Post added January-28th-2013 at 09:10 PM ---------- Because the Kings are Godawful as well.
  8. Oh man, Okafor is 16/8 at halftime. What's going on between him and Cousins, is someone getting abused out there? All the Cousins talk and the center we have has more then twice as many rebound already. Dude only has three, not impressed right now...
  9. Turnovers: the great equalizer. I imagine we need some halttime to calm down. This is still a winnable game against a beatable team, but there's no point in just giving it away. We're better then them, play like it.
  10. Yes, our record says we suck, but I feel we are better then our record suggests. So if we want to be considered a good basketball team, you have to beat the teams you're supposed to be. Especially at home. Kick. Their. ***.
  11. I understand that, but you gotta admit you feel we will handle business against the kings monday night. And I agree with you on Okafor; he's filling his nitche nicely as are a lot of other players that were supposed to play roles instead of save the franchise. We have a @ Memphis, @Spurs, Clippers, Knicks, Nets stretch coming up soon. Seeing this team full strength in this 5 game stretch will give me a better idea of what we really have here now. Edit: Just hope Beal's wrist is ok (knock on wood)...
  12. smh, I guess no credit where credit is due. Jesus with you guys...
  13. Don't try to beat them in the halfcourt game. Keep attacking, that's how we got the lead in the first place. Keep attacking!!!
  14. Solid defense again by the wiz kidz. 12th in the NBA in points allowed per game actually. Huh...
  15. Tora tora tora... And acting very professional about it to. Keep it gully, and get it down Washington. ---------- Post added January-26th-2013 at 08:27 PM ---------- Wall definitely doing better on that jumper, there's not doubt about it. ---------- Post added January-26th-2013 at 08:28 PM ----------
  16. Very sound half of basketball. Moving the ball around to keep from Bulls defense crushing them and most importantly, finishing. Wall at the end gave the business to Nate Robinson, and I really like Okafor at the 5 and Nene at the 4. We may not be be a better team then the bulls in the record books, but we're better team right now, and that's all that matters. Booker playing better as well, so really just want to see Singleton wake the hell up (is what it is with Vesley).
  17. A healthy wizards team did exactly what they were supposed to do and beat the crap out of an injured, struggling basketball team at home. I wish Singleton could get his way out the dog house, because I believe now we're starting to see sort of the idea of what EG had in mind with this new core. I really hope Webster can just take over the 3 spot, even Wall mentioned him by name after the game. Crawford looks great as our 6th man, offensive spark, so I really feel we can get away with focusing our upgrade efforts on a dominant 5/4 guy. I do not want to give up on Seraphin yet, because between him, booker and singleton, I want one of them to be able to take over the PF position. I wouldn't be afraid to package all three if the right deal came along...
  18. No kidding. As the owner of all three teams at the verizon center, how can you live with yourself knowing that all three of them are losing teams now?
  19. I must of gone to take a piss when the Okafor stupid play happened. I don't know what to say on that, dude just had 17 rebounds tonight. As for Wall, 14-8 and 4-4 from charity in 27 minutes. This may be a lost season for him, but I still like it when he blows by people are draws a foul. Does he do it too much, you can make the argument, but I still like that he can and does do it...
  20. It was a federal f'n holiday. Yes, please refrain from politics in here, that was just igna'nt...
  21. You good, but ya, I noticed what you're talking about in it being hell to get a wizards game on the radio outside the DC area. I've seen the radio map go all the way as far south as Hatteras, but I can't get it on even intune.com. Local radio down here will play caps and nats, but tonight they had college hoops on the FM sports station (terrestrial, not internet). Going to buy a radio to see if I can listen to it on AM, but why I should have to do that, I have no idea.
  22. Wizards need another guy to take over when the other guys aren't. That's a hell of a comeback, but they just showed we need more to pull it off and take the win. Some of the guys will get better, I do believe that. A lot of mad at Webster, but I really like the guy.
