  1. Yes on Jimmy G for sure. He's the definition of a JAG. Would rather go with Heineke vs Jimmy G. Winston I can see from a pure talent perspective. He's got all the tools. But, I see the Saints resigning him. Stafford is the only vet I'd go after. Dallas isn't losing Dak.
  2. Its IMPOSSIBLE for the Falcons to trade Ryan. They have no cap space and the dead cap hit would be prohibitive. He's not going anywhere.
  3. If the Lions can trade Staffoed to the AFC, they’ll do it. One thing to keep in mind is that Martin Mayhew drafted Stafford
  4. We don't have the assets for going after Deshaun. Either he's a Texan, or he's a Dolphin (I'd think the trade would be Tua+3+18).
  5. The colts are built right. They have oodles of cap room and a good o-line (although they need to replace Costanzo). Their defense is pretty good too. I think they are the #1 Stafford destination (Detroit gets to do him right and trade him out of conference).
  6. Yeah, with Haskins, you could tell the team had no confidence with him. Heineke ran the offense so much better in both of his appearances.
  7. I think Indy would easily trade their 1st for Stafford. That is better than a 2nd+4th+player (unless he's someone like Jon Allen).
  8. The easiest trade is to the Jets (don't know if Watson wants to go there)... #2+#23+Darnold+2022 2nd
  9. The Colts have boat-loads of cap-space. I can see them trading a low-round pick for Solder (who opted out and is out of favor with the Giants) or going after Alejandro V. from the Steelers in FA. Also, they could easily resign Rivers for 1 more year, or trade their 1st for Stafford.
  10. Najee isn't going to last till 19. His floor is 18 to Miami (who NEEDS an RB). If we want Najee, we'll have to trade up (something that I'd consider honestly).
  11. He's like Romo (who was FANTASTIC at eluding rushers in the pocket) or Jeff Garcia. Both guys were QBs with slight builds. He needs to bulk up though.
  12. Yeah, Terry is the only WR assured of being back next year. Steven Sims and Wright (IMO) are gone. Unreliable hands and don't separate. Cam Sims lumbers too much and has inconsistent hands. Harmon is a wild card. He'd have really helped this year, but he didn't exactly light it up last year either.
  13. Yeah, at least it buys us time. LB is arguably the #1 need on this team. Bostic is a major negative on run and the pass (he's a solid blitzer and can run). Collins would be GREAT, but I fear he'll be long gone. Najee might be worth it if he's there. JD is a great receiving back, but he's HORRIBLE at pass blocking. Tampa knew this and routinely attacked him. He's willing, but is too slight. RB is a major need. You can get skill guys in the 2nd and 3rd round. Trading back (if Collins is gone) is arguably a good strategy.
  14. Yeah, but to be fair, he was just signed. An off-season with a legit NFL weight program will give up some muscle, but he's still slight. He reminds me of a smaller Tony Romo or even Jeff Garcia.
  15. The Bucs are not a great defense. However, Taylor balled out tonight! He throws a very catchable ball, is super poised in the pocket, and has got wheels. We desperately need weapons. Another RB is a MUST. Gibson was doing his best, but he was 60% out there at best. Ditto Terry. Cam Sims has unreliable hands. LB is a MAJOR need. Bostic was getting smoked stopping the run.
  16. If Atlanta wanted to trade Ryan, they'd have to compensate us. They are in legit cap hell. It would be a Brock Osweiler type trade where the receiving team got the better draft compensation.
  17. Yeah, it all depends on Alex. If he retires/gets cut, all we have is Kyle Allen and maybe Heineke (LOL). I'd figure we go after Dalton.
  18. Yup. Most I'd go is one 3rd round pick. Otherwise, just go after Dalton in FA if you want a vet stopgap who is relatively young.
  19. Crowder signed for 3/28.5. Samuel is more explosive than Crowder is and that contract was 2 years ago. Samuel is getting more than 4/32.
  20. He's also played against terrible defenses like Jacksonville and Houston during this win streak.
  21. Well remember, our bar was Haskins. Everyone looks like Peyton Manning compared to him
  22. Posted this on the draft thread: Going over scenarios, I'm pretty sure the best we can pick is 8th overall (IF WE LOSE). Games of importance for us draft positioning (IF WE LOSE): Minnesota @ Detroit Dallas @ New York Giants New Orleans @ Carolina Las Vegas @ Denver Root for the bolded teams above. If all the above happens, Dallas probably gets a lower SOS and picks 7. I figure Carolina will lose (Saints still have a shot at a bye). Detroit stinks, but Dalvin Cook is out. Hopefully Bevell tries to get a win this week. Hopefully Denver does us a solid. Best thing is that we can concentrate on rooting for those outcomes since they are earlier in the day.
