Beaver and Wally in court is a riot. I LOVE this movie. I can't recommend it enough. So my random tale for the day is a bit scary. A few years ago I landed in the hospital with pericarditis, an inflammation of the sac around my heart. When it started it just felt like my back was a little out of whack, like if i could just get it to crack or loosen up, I'd feel ok. So I ignored it,, me and my back have had our tricks, and so I figured it was more to do with my sleeping position, I even went to a chiropractor. Then one night i woke up in a pain like i'd never have before, i imagine it's like a heart attack.. long story short, the sac tore, fluid got out, and infection started. Hospital fixed me up. SO recently i've felt the symptoms again. This time i didn't wait, and went to my Dr on Monday. She agreed with me, and got me a prescription fo the meds that clears it up. "Colchicine" is one of them. It's what they gave me before, and it did the trick in short order. SO yesterday Giant pharmacy calls to tell me it's ready, my wife stops by to pick it up and all of the store's networks are down. They can't take any credit cards, even pump any gas.. and they cant' fill scrips. So they give my wife a 2 day supply. Now, i take one medication. It's Atorvastatin, rather common statin for cholesterol. It's the only thing i take. Prescribed by the same doctor. My natural need to 'do my own research' kicks in, and so I google the interactions between colchicine and atorvastatin and what do you know.. a potentially very serious toxicity can develop and shut down my kidneys and potentially kill me. I look through several sources I consider reputable, AMA, Medlineplus, and a couple others. All say the same thing. So now i am waiting on a phone call as to what to do. (I have a feeling if Giant's systems hadn't been down it would have flagged it. I hope.) Moral of the story: "Do your own research" has become synonymous for "I am a paranoid loon". But you'd better do it. ~Bang

My favorite word is "paint". I like "pen", too.. I guess it's the P an N? But paint, it is satisfying to say. It represents new, fresh, beauty, art, creativity, color. It can be bold, it can be understated, it can be wide, entirely change something, or it can be incredibly intricate. Paint is pure human expression. ~Bang

Propping him up as a candidate SHOULD turn the entire party that does it into a laughing stock.. but unfortunately, a whole pile of ignorant dumb****s that thinks their OWN STUPIDITY is FUNNY are their voting block. Yep, it isn't as bad as you might think. I like the Commanders community by and large, and I find the conversations fun and interesting. There's some clowns, but most are good posters. Been looking for you, but I guess you did split. The ridiculousness Musk causes is easily controlled, I don't get slammed with Nazis or crazy Trumpers Unless i decide to wade in, and in fact, a few of the right wingers who were here in the past are out there, and I do follow some. And mostly, our conversations stick to football. Some of them post their own opinions of politics, and i scroll on by. Usually I will only get block someone if they fill up my feed with crazy retweets from the usual loons. I am @BangRadioHour if anyone wants to come join in. ~Bang

The accused have the right to a speedy trial. I'd suggest the victim does, too. Especially when the person on trial's entire plan is to delay the trials long enough to potentially win election and subsequently halt all the trials... and of course have the judges and prosecutors thrown in jail. He's not on trial for parking tickets or petty crimes. The guy is on trial for A/ fomenting an insurrection. He's been charged in these things, and charges require more than 'we don't like him" as a basis to bring them to court. These aren't civil suits. B/ Stealing National Security information so highly classified that they are trying to figure out how to even talk about them in court. The financial crimes, rapes, sexual misconducts and assaults, are, believe it or not, small potatoes compared to what he's done.. er. excuse me, , "accused" of being done while bragging about it right in front of the world and then stupidly admitting to it over and over. When we worry about abuse of the system for the gain of power, who are we truly talking about? One party is authoritarian already, bent on fascism, and dream of a dictator Trump, who's already said that is what he'd do. Or the other guys. **** beating around the bush. ~Bang

All due respect, but i think this labors under the assumption that any of them will play by any rules we are familiar with and expect. Rule of law means nothing to any of them. He tried once to become king, to overthrow the government, and he will do everything he can do to do it again, starting the day he takes the oath. They will make sure no one can 'undo' anything because if he has his way, there won't be anyone to undo any of what he does, including persecute them. With no hyperbole, my hope is that IF he should win, the military will step in and remove him if necessary. Granted, he'd have to go a LONG way to warrant that, but I think that is what he wants to do. A long way, and then some. I just don't see a reasonable way out of this. It's too far down the rabbit hole. Hope I'm wrong, but haven't been yet. ~Bang

My "like' above is for the first paragraph, which I firmly agree with. The second though.. it doesn't take many people to make a war. If he gets in again, he is going to have to be removed in a mop bucket. I don't think his own incompetence will limit him, because his enablers know what they want to do, and will do everything they can to make it happen. And what they want is a totalitarian state. ~Bang
