He can be effective while still giving Otto plenty of minutes to develop. As much as I love the guy and what he showed in summer league today, spending year 2 rotating in behind Pierce seems like an ideal way to ease into the league. Exactly, and he also put up those numbers in almost 7 more minutes a game than Pierce.

At the terms we got him at I think Ernie crushed it and yes I feel dirty for saying it. If the guys felt like they learned a lot from Ariza I can only imagine how good The Truth can be for the development of this team. Also it's nice to have someone not afraid to mix it up with LeBron.

Yeah I had a pretty hearty LOLWUT moment when I first saw the headline. Kiffin is a perfect analogy. I remember the first time I ever saw Snyder, he was doing ESPN draft day coverage & I instantly thought "That guys on coke". He just exudes(or at least used to) this whole Pat Riley wannabe vibe that makes me unable to take him seriously. I just hope Linas Kleiza decides to make an NBA comeback and the Jazz reunite the two. That would be a "fun" reunion.

I'm more interested in talking about the new coaching hires. Has Quin Snyder really matured and become a leader since his Mizzou days where He liked the cocaine and slept with his player's GFs? How does that go over in Utah to begin with? Will they be able to convince the Celtics to take Hayward off their hands for a pick like their fans want? What does everyone think about Blatt making the jump? I think he's a fantastic coach but it seems the Cavs organization has already tried and failed to properly run a Princeton offense with this lineup.
