  1. I mean I get a new owner attempting to leave his mark on the franchise but two years in a row you get rid of coaches who won you 50 games? Not a good look. Don't know how you possibly sell this to a fan base.
  2. He owns an NBA franchise now? Cause I'm pretty sure I included that qualifier.
  3. So Memphis fired their FO and now Joerger in going home to MN to get away from ownership who wanted him gone for not winning while Gasol was out. Robert Pera sounds like he's on the fast track to worst owner in NBA once Sterling is gone.
  4. Lot of energy the Pacers seemed to expend to stay tied with us after one.
  5. I still think Vogel can be a championship caliber coach in this league, but sometimes you just gotta be fired by an imploding Pacers squad before you get over the hump(Looks over in the Mavericks direction)
  6. I know it won't happen but if we happen to have one of the home games in hand I would love for our fan base to start a sarcastic 'Hoosiers' chant.
  7. http://www.pacersdigest.com/showthread.php?96167-The-NBA-needs-to-move-the-three-point-line-back Well we're at this point in the the stages of grieving earlier than I thought we'd be.
  8. He was such a soft player in college that I honestly think this is closer to the real him than the guy who averaged 20-10 in the ECF(Against a team without a real center)
  9. Made a bartender drop the glass he was pouring me when I told him Beal wasn't even old enough be in the place yet.
  10. Atlanta also had NO expectations and there wasn't really "Blood in the water" as we knew the Pacers were struggling but not on this level. I've got faith.
  11. Well. Just got in. The bar I was at in Chicago Is VERY anti-Pacers so in about 20 minutes I will be blacked out/passed out drunk from all the victory drinks I was bought. Man work with a hangover tomorrow Will be worth it though
  12. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/good-news-you-won-game-7-bad-news-youre-less-likely-to-win-round-2/ Well Nate Silver doesn't think things look too hot for the Pacers, so we've got some good math on our side at least.
  13. Well Pacers fans must be psyched for this series after that showing against the Hawks, I just went on StubHub and the cheapest seats in the house are under 10 dollars now. I thought that state worshipped Basketball?
  14. Going by the stats they've been more effective without Z-No on the floor this series. You wouldn't expect that to hold up over 48 in a game 7 on the road but if any team plays the kind of ball to overcome those factors its Memphis.
  15. When I was looking at prices for game one of the second round if we were in Indy after we clinched and there were upper levels listed at 40 and below. Its like a whole different economy here in the Midwest. Ted and Scalpers know DC residents pay premium for major events.
  16. Milsap 0-9? That's not how you win game 7 buddy. See what the other guy named George is doing? Be more like that guy.
  17. They had Parsons responsible for him. Parsons isn't a very focused defender, as lacking as Lin is on defense sometimes and Beverley is flat out exhausted they would have at least stayed in front of Dame. Parsons certainly wouldn't get a mark on Randy's Hustle Board with that effort. Kevin McHale needs to go and they need to trade Lin for a PG that can catch and shoot. If Harden's gonna be the primary ball handler on that team they need a PG comfortable moving without the ball and knock it down consistently from outside. Jeremy Lin's a P&R, drive or dish guy on a team that doesn't play most of their deep shooting threats in big games, and Beverley doesn't offer anything on offense. Again, I don't get how a team so predicated on analytics has built this Frankenstein of mismatched parts. Seriously, Dame was scoreless the entire quarter up to that point. Solution, bench Lin and let one of the slower guys on the team chase Lillard. McHale has been doing stuff like that his whole coaching career.
  18. Lin had no business making that 3 and it was all for nothing, way to go Omer.
  19. if brook grows his out a little he could probably pull off Cecil.
  20. Put Lin/Harden/Daniels on the floor all at the same time and MAGICALLY the Rockets lose their lead. I personally don't understand the fascination with Patrick Beverley as I don't think his defense is worth the hype, and irritating the other team isn't really useful unless you have actual PG skills to back it up(See Chris Paul) but he'd probably more effective in that rotation than Lin or Harden, take your pick. Overall I understand absolutely nothing Kevin McHale does out there, and all of his decision making seems to fly completely in the face of what at their supposedly phenomenal analytics people are doing down there.
  21. If this is the best they got I can still see the Hawks taking it. Nothing they've done tonight has impressed me.
  22. All joking about Gortat/Antic matchup aside, Hibbert/Antic is the perfect retort to anyone who complained they took Center out as an official position on the All-Star team.
