  1. Does anyone have side by side chart showing the 2023 vs. 2024 coaching staff? I think every single 2024 position would be stronger (even the OL coach)
  2. Sean Payton: last year was one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL Jim Zorn: Hold my beer
  3. This is the longest 4th and inches I've ever seen. Is Scott Turner behind this...or is Jay Gruden throwing a bunch of fades to the corner that are not connecting?
  4. Looking at the deals other DTs received, did we overpay for Payne? IMO, if we let him hit free agency, the Bears would have offered him more.
  5. I'm all in on Sam (not necessarily as a true franchise QB but at minimum a good competent one) and have been since before the draft. However, we are setting him up for failure (as this team always does). There is >99% chance we will have a whole new coaching staff in 2024 so Sam will have 3 OCs in 3years. Even the best QBs need stability in their systems. Unfortunately, we are going to ruin his career.
  6. Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report · Follow Full Chase Young update, per a source: ACL surgery was more significant than most because he also suffered a fully ruptured patella — which is why he’s starting out on reserve PUP. Impressive all-around recovery: #Commanders plan for Young’s return Week 5 vs #Titans. 10:08 AM · Aug 23, 2022 From the previous page. Also when Chase had the surgery they talked about using the contralateral patella tendon for his ACL graft (most ACL surgeries use the ipsilateral - same side - patella tendon)
  7. The new info that Chase also tore his patella tendon would explain why they took his ACL graft from the opposite knee. Unfortunately, his knees may never be 100% On a positive note, our WR worries are over. Trey Quin was cut by the Broncos today! Superbowl, here we come.
  8. We should all be praising Trent Williams. He was the first and main step in showing Dan how incompetent Bruce was that eventually led to Bruce's firing. Bruce so royally screwed up the Trent situation that even Dan started to see Bruce for what he was. If the Trent thing never happened, there is an alternate universe where Bruce is still here.
  9. Can someone repost the video of Terry scoring a TD with the caption of summing up Terry’s entire Washington experience (he was wide open but QB did not see him so he then had to fight with DB to make a great catch one Taylor finally saw him) I laughed and cried a little because it was so true
  10. There is no way around the fact that anyone who buys season tickets and/or merchandise is condoning, supporting, and enabling a sexual predator and horrible excuse for a human being that has utterly destroyed something everyone on this site once loved and cared deeply about. People who buy season tickets and merchandise may not see it that way (yet) but it is the simple truth. Congress is not going to get rid of Dan. The NFL is very unlikely going to get rid of Dan. The only chance we have is if ALL the (previous) fans stop supporting him and in turn, the sponsors pull out (this is the only way I see Dan ever leaving)
  11. https://www.nfl.com/videos/sam-howell-takes-steve-mariucci-s-whiteboard-test Here is a quick pre-draft video I still think Sam Howell will be legit one day
  12. If Friedman was such a horrible person, what does that say about the organization that kept him around for 20+ years
  13. I can talk myself into any of the top QBs in the draft except the supposed "top QB on most boards" - Kenny P. My son went to Pitt so I have seen him play for a looong time (it seems like he was there for 10 years). He has always been meh until this past year when he lit it up. I have 3 main concerns. The first has been talked about to death (his tiny hands). Some people dismiss it but his hand size is unprecedented. The bigger nfl ball could be a huge issue. He's never thrown an nfl ball for a full season. There was a really good article about 5 years ago that did a deep dive into how important hand size is to a QB. Second issues is his age. There was another good article a few years ago analyzing the pros and cons of drafting older and younger players. The concluison was always draft young. The older players don't typically work out. The third thing is similar to the second. Because he played so long in college he was essentially a man among boys. I would expect a grown man to dominate 18 and 19 year olds. What happens when he is a man playing against other grown men? I just don't see it working out for Mr. Pickett in the NFL as a franchise QB.
  14. You guys are falling for Dan’s tricks again. Jason is not the problem. Dan is the problem. Every time you post about Jason, it is a win for Dan. Dan wants Vinny, Bruce, whatever current coach is failing, and Jason to be the ones to take the heat. Don’t fall for it.
  15. I can’t remember the details. Does anyone remember the story about Dan when the cap money was taken away by the NFL for circumventing the salary cap. There was some story about him and Bruce yelling at the other owners and they were just laughing at him.
  16. Counting a win by Atlanta in 2006, the Falcons are on a six-game winning streak against Washington. The league is now on notice - nobody beats the WFT 7 times in a row!!!
  17. Raiders waiving Tanner Muse 3rd round pick 2020 draft. Linebacker. Yes? No?
  18. "Eric Clapton was asked about how it felt to be the world's best guitarist. His response: 'I don't know. Ask Prince.'"
  19. I wish we played them every week! We’d be 17-0!!
  20. Along the hypothetical draft scenario discussion, I wonder what our draft would have looked like if we had lost that last game to the Eagles. I assume we would have ended up with Justin Fields.
  21. A lot of people thought we would draft Vita Vea in the 2018 draft (went 1 pick before us and we drafted Da’Ron Payne). I did not realize he was ranked that high. I wonder if he would have been a better pick - had Tampa picked Payne (I still think we should have picked Derwin James).
  22. 04/03/21 - SS Darrick Forrest, Sr/2021, Cincinnati, 6-0, 206 (DS#5 SS) + More + If NFL teams were sleeping on University of Cincinnati safety Darrick Forrest ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Bearcats' 2020 defensive captain and the team's 2019 leading tackler did everything he could on Wednesday to sound the alarm. Forrest ran the 40-yard dash in an unofficial time of 4.38 seconds, had 21 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, a vertical jump of 39 inches and a broad jump of 11 feet to steal the show at Cincinnati's pro day inside the bubble at the Sheakley Athletic Center. "My goal today was to go out there and just put up great numbers and I feel like I accomplished that," the 6-foot, 206-pound draft hopeful told The Enquirer. "It's showing that the hard work I put down in Fort Lauderdale is paying off." Since the Bearcats' season-ending 24-21 loss to Georgia in the Peach Bowl on New Year's Day, Forrest has spent most of his time training in South Florida. Representatives from 29 of the 32 NFL teams were present for Cincinnati's pro day, including coaches and/or front office personnel from the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers. - Cincinnati Enquirer (DS#5 SS) Sr/2021 SS Darrick Forrest, Cincinnati News Source: Cincinnati Enquirer Share/Comment/External News Feed: Here
  23. 8. JOHN BATES, BOISE STATE PFF BIG BOARD RANK: 189 Bates has shown the type of upward trajectory over the course of his college career that NFL evaluators love to see. After being listed at 229 pounds his freshman season at Boise State, Bates arrived at the Senior Bowl this past January a different player altogether at 259 pounds. You see it in his grading profile, as well, where his receiving and run-blocking grades improved every year as a starter. Bates ticks almost every box you could want for a starting tight end. He may not be close to the George Kittle/Travis Kelce tier of tight ends physically, but he is solid as can be.
