No. Cam won't want to be backup anywhere. The only place he may get a starting job right now, is Houston. Cam wants to start this year, he will probably have to wait for an injury. Even then, since he's unvaccinated; he would have to wait 5 days. So, he couldn't come in right away. Mac won the job and he knew Cam wouldn't want to be a backup; so he cut Cam lose. Also, there's no doubt him being unvaccinated hurt him and will hurt him in the future.

The QB Thread- Change is Name of the QB game

It was a little surprising that Cam Newton was released. Thought Bill would go with the veteran first, before giving the rookie the job. So, why did Cam get cut? #1- Mac Jones won the job, plain and simple. That last game, where Cam couldn't play due to covid protocols; gave Mac the opportunity to seal the deal. #2- Cam wouldn't be satisfied as being a backup and would probably cause disruption to team; so Bill felt it better to cut Cam. The only place where I can see Cam going somewhere as a starter right now is Houston. My guess, Cam won't be satisfied going anywhere as a backup; so if he doesn't go to Houston, will wait to see if someone gets injured. Even then, since he's unvaccinated; he couldn't come in right away. There's a 5 day waiting period for unvaccinated players. Next year, Cam will have options and yes, we are one of those options. I don't think it would happen here though. -

Khan hired Meyer to sell tickets. The franchise will move in the next 10 years. I'll give Meyers 2 years and he quits late in the 22 season. -
The QB Thread- Change is Name of the QB game

Teams that could be looking for a new QB next year NY Giants- If Daniel Jones doesn't show improvement, NY will probably move on. They have the draft capital to either trade up in the draft or for a veteran player. Eagles- Despite trading for Minshew, the Eagles could be in the market for a new QB in 22. They have the draft capital to either trade up in the draft or for a veteran player. Team- We will be in the market for a QB next year. It will be complicated by the fact, we don't have draft capital. Will Ron change his made and give up future capital for a QB next year? Packers- If the Packers and Rodgers part ways, they may get someone to compete with Jordan Love for the job. Vikings- Contract wise, they can't really get of rid of Kirk until 23. Thing is, is Mr Unvaccinated misses games and causes the Vikings to miss playoffs; they may eat the sunk cost and cut him in 22. Saints- If Winston plays well, he may get the permanent gig as Brees successor. If not, Saints will be in the market for a QB. Panthers- Unless, Darnold has a Tannahill style resurrection; they are probably looking for a QB in 22. Seahawks- If they and Russell part ways, they will need someone to replace Wilson with. Broncos- Unless Teddy or Drew plays real well this year, I can see the Broncos in the market for QB in 22. Raiders- Gruden is always looking at QBs, will he decide to move on from Carr in 22? Texans- They will have the #1 pick in the draft in 22; probably taking a QB to replace Watson. Steelers- Ben is probably playing his last year? They maybe looking for a new QB, since I doubt their backups are worthy replacements. Dolphins- They may decided Tua isn't the guy and move on. They also have the capital to move up in the draft or trade for a veteran. I can't see anyone trading for Watson until his situation has been settled. He's looking at a suspension, whenever he does play again. Also, there's a chance he could serve prison time. What team would give up picks with all that uncertainty? I don't see Watson traded before next summer. Rodgers is probably leaving Green Bay. I think if all goes well in Seattle, Wilson isn't going anywhere. Andy Dalton, is nothing more than a backup now. Cam Newtown is probably only a backup, after he gets benched in New England. I don't know if any team would give Jimmy G a long term contract, if he stays healthy this year and plays all 17 games. He may get a 1 year deal. -

Why wait. I’d make cutdowns before you go to sleep Ronny. No one in the nfc east will win more than 9 games. No one in the nfc east will win more than 9 games. -

Also, there are plenty of coaches who have just won a Superbowl and some that have won 2. 3 or more is greatness. When Ron wins his third Superbowl with us or somewhere else; then he can b e mentioned in the same breath.

Sorry but just say we disagree. Gibbs great is 3 Super Bowl wins and I doubt any coach under Snyder will win more than one.
