REDSKINS HOSTING $1 MILLION MOCK DRAFT CHALLENGE

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins are hosting a $1 Million Mock Draft Challenge, in which participants are invited to accurately predict the 32 players selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft in the correct order.

The contest ends on April 30 at 5 p.m. ET. Winners will be determined within 48 hours after the end of the first round of the draft. Submissions should be made online by going to www.redskins.com/mockdraft.

To play, participants can simply search the four pages of prospects, hover over that player’s image, and click and drag that player to the predicted selection. Contestants will predict all 32 first-round selections (regardless of the team that makes the selection), fill out their information and hit the SUBMIT PICKS button.

The Grand Prize of $1 million will be awarded to the participant who is able to predict all 32 selections accurately. If multiple participants predict all 32 selections accurately, Grand Prize winners will evenly share the $1 million prize.

Even if no contestant correctly predicts all 32 picks, top finishers will receive 2015 Premium Season Tickets or an autographed Redskins jersey. Visit www.redskins.com/mockdraft for official rules and frequently asked questions.

"Even if no contestant correctly predicts all 32 picks..."

None will lol

"...top finishers will receive 2015 Premium Season Tickets or an autographed Redskins jersey. Visit www.redskins.com/mockdraft for official rules and frequently asked questions."

That's one helluva drop off...I think it's basically the unofficial top prize in this thing.

There is at least one flaw with the available pool of selectees for the drag & drop in the million dollar mock draft challenge.

Eric Rowe is not listed anywhere.

If Rowe is selected in the 1st round, in real life, literally no contestant can win the challenge. Simply, because there is no ability to select him within the game's parameters.

Whether or not the engineers of the challenge can augment the selections is unknown.

I sent a notification to redskins.com.

I mean, that is one way to ensure nobody wins the million dollars, exclude one or two guys that actually may be selected in the 1st round.

...

If you doubt Rowe's chances of being selected in round 1, refer yourself to rotoworld's updates on Rowe: http://www.rotoworld.com/player/cfb/133313/eric-rowe

I think it said even if no one gets all 32 right whoever gets the most right still wins. So it wouldn't matter if he wasn't an option because he is equally unavailable to everyone who entered right?

UGH.

Here are the FAQs: http://files.redskins.com/pdf/mock-draft-madness-2015-faqs.pdf

3. How do you win?

Grand Prize: Awarded to the contestant who accurately predicts all 32 selections in the first round of the 2015 Draft in the correct order (regardless of the team that makes the selection)

Second Place Prize: Awarded to the contestant who accurately matched the player selected to the selection number (regardless of the team that makes the selection) the most number of times among all contestants who did not predict all 32 selections with 100% accuracy

Third Place Prize: Awarded to the contestant who accurately matched the player selected to the selection number (regardless of the team that makes the selection) the second most number of times among all contestants who did not predict all 32 selections with 100% accuracy

The word "all" is important there. Specific to Grand Prize

The term "100% accuracy" is important for the other two prize places.

...

Here is the page for official rules: http://files.redskins.com/pdf/mock-draft-madness-2015-official-rules.pdf

GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded: USD $1,000,000 in the name of the Grand Prize winner(s), payable over the course of forty (40) years in forty (40) equal annual installments.

The Grand Prize will be awarded to the participant(s) who accurately predict the thirty-two (32) players selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft in the correct order (regardless of the team that makes the selection).

If more than one eligible contestant accurately predicts the thirty-two (32) players selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft in the correct order (regardless of the team that makes the selection), the Grand Prize will be divided equally among all contestants within tie through separate forty (40) year annuity payments in forty (40) equal annual installments.

The Grand Prize will only be awarded if one or more eligible contestants accurately predicts the thirty-two (32) players selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft in the correct order.

The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the grand prize is USD $1,000,000. For avoidance of doubt, the Grand Prize winner(s) are not eligible to win the Second Place or Third Place Prizes.

So, TL;DR: You got to get every single one correct, the right guy, in the right order ... for the grand prize.

To update, the Redskins are aware of Eric Rowe not being available for selection and he will be added.

Got this email:

We are in the process of adding Eric Rowe. This should be done at some point today.

Thanks,
