Moss will help the Redskins close to .500....

Owens has and will again help the Eagles to the Super Bowl....

Any other questions?

Sure.

Care to do a friendly wager on that?

I have a question. How'd that whole Super Bowl thing turn out for you guys?? Wait, I know.......you lost. That's okay. At least you've won the Super Bowl before so it didn't hurt so bad. Wait, you guys have NEVER won the Super Bowl???!!!!! Ouch. That must suck to not know what that feeling is like. Let me describe it for you...

The first time is unbelievable. It is hard to put into words because it makes you realize why you spend as much time rooting for your team as you do.

The second time is just as satisfying. It validates the first championship and makes you thirsty for more.

The third time is just icing on the cake. It is still sweet and overwhelming but you tend to get a bit ****y after this one.

Let me know if you'd like me to describe anything else for you.

Yeah. What's with the attitude?

This thread was started by someone who claimed Pinkston and Moss were of similar calibre. How THAT drew your ire I don't know, but maybe you should chill a llittle. Sheesh.

Sure describe how it feels to know that while you and your fellow fans up here boast about past glories and cling on to the breast of years long past, that your team right now is now closer to a return to a Super Bowl than the Cleveland Indians, and they play baseball!

Characters like you should be ashamed of yourselves for STILL HANGING on to the past and PRAYING that it will affect the future! It seems like you guys are the types to look back at your prom dates and think to yourselves "Since I had a pretty date, my son will too!"...and your son could have acne craters the size of Great Lakes!

I mean seriously......is your whole arguement of why the CURRENT REDSKIN is better than the CURRENT EAGLES because in 1992, the Skins won a Super Bowl? you sure a perfect definition of a "duh" football fan. One that bases everything on conversations with his beer buddies about high school memories and dreams that never came true.

This post is SUPPOSED to be about Pinkston or Moss. Pinkston isn't our number 1 guys, so it should be Moss or Owens. Now if you really want to take it to a level of Super Bowls, then lets look at it this way......you have won the same number in the 2000's as we have....correct?

I'd rather have a winning record now than hold on to memories of past accomplishments that have no chance of being relived!

Purely pathetic souls!

My attitude isn't directed towards you Henry....trust me. My problem is the lack of football IQ's up here who are being patted on the back for non-sense while people who actually post thought provoking comments backed by facts (whether they are Skins, Boys, Birds, or Giants fans) are basically spit on. Granted this maybe a Skins board, but has all honestly and common sense been thrown out of the window? I post on this site and "view" the Eagles site for that very reason. Folks are screaming "DEATH TO T.O" or "BEGINNING OF A DYNASTY" when we haven't won squat but some stupid patches on Team Jackets! Yet folks over here haven't won those in years and boast dumber things over here.

Maybe its just me, but in a society where its a "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY" kind of world, folks sure overlook that by 10-15 years a pop huh?

Besides, the Phillies suck too!

Better to have tasted the sweet taste of a champion than to never have tasted it at all.....in any sport actually since the early 80's. The Redskins have more Superbowl wins since 1980 then Philly has total championships (in all sports)...SAD. But why don't you keep hanging around and talking about how great you will do only to choke...or throw up when it really counts. I would rather live in the past than have nothing to live in at all:2cents: And by the way, winning records with nothing to show for it is about as useful as a third nut!

Actually, I never made any sort of argument about the current Redskins being better than the current Eagles. I was merely relaying my sympathy for someone who roots for a team that has never won a championship.

This is probably why you seem seem so defensive and bitter about trivial things like Moss v. Pinkston.

So I guess that would make you guys Steve, the loser from next door with NOTHING to show for his life. How's Marcy????

And I am very happy with our direction b/c I know that when we get there....we will win. But I guess just being second/third best is okay for you. Who lost the Superbowl in 1976...or lost the NFC championsip in 84.....WHO CARES :)

And what could possibly make you think that I would be happy coming in second place? Its still a lose, just closer than everyone else was. Fact is that while both teams have "tried" to improve themselves over the last few years, its obvious which has done the better job, thus one is fighting for .500 and the other is fighting to go to Detroit. Now please tell me that "past accmplishments" will help you guys get to "Detroit"? Super Bowls from 1982 and 1987 will help you get there right? Only as far as directions and what interstate to take maybe, but even that's a stretch so to use past accomplishments in this debate is just plain stupid!

Agreed, you guys are better at not winning than us....CONGRATS! And by the way, after the season ends, everything is a past accomplishment. Last year, 2001, 1992 are all pretty much the same. This is the NFL, that's why teams can pick in the top ten one year and go to the Superbowl the next. We'll see how things play out this year, but we'll see if Philly gets its first championship (all sports) in over two decades or if they are, once again, the best LOSERS in football

I feel I must remind you AGAIN that no one is saying past accomplishments will help us win the Super Bowl this year. You refer to a "debate" but there wasn't one. The only thing that was being debated in this thread was the contracts/talents of Santana Moss v. Todd "Alligator Body" Pinkston. No one was "debating" Skins v. Eagles 2005 records until you came on board with some annoying post with attitude about how the Redskins will be lucky to finish at .500 and the Eagles will be fighting for the Super Bowl and then asked if anyone had any more questions when no one asked you any questions in the first place.

Wow!!! It must REALLY burn you that the Eagles have NEVER won a Super Bowl. Why else would you be so resentful and unpleasant? Hey, I wish you guys could have won a Super Bowl at least once too. It makes our division look bad to have a team with no championships in it.
