No. The reason that their isn't any ****ing, yet, is beause this is perceived by some as the first good thing they've done in the draft. That and they haven't picked yet. Give the kids a chance. Day is still young.

please, someone explain whats soo good about it? We get 154, but how often do those lower picks really pan out? And I know there are gems, but still, Hawthorne and Canty both could be gone by 120.

I guess with this viewpoint, they might as well cancel all rounds after the 3rd. It's called depth...

Player Profile

Manuel White

School: UCLA

Position: Running Back

Class: Senior

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 244lbs

Birthday: 7/2/82

40 Time: 4.58 (estimated)

Positives

- White is a big strong back who excels at getting the tough yards and is very hard to bring down. He also has the ability to play fullback and could end up seeing a lot of time there so sophomore Maurice Drew can get more carries. He will be one of the leaders of UCLA’s offense next season.

Weaknesses

- White was having a solid junior season until an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season. With the emergence of Drew, he will have to fight to keep his starting job. While his ability to play fullback is a plus, he is a bit of a tweener right now and a lack of a definite position may hurt his stock.

Overall Analysis

- White’s powerful style of running will provide a good complement to Drew’s big play capabilitie. He could find a niche as a goal line specialist in the NFL and could see some action as a fullback if he improves his blocking.

Reminds You Of:

- Najeh Davenport

Strengths: Is an intriguing developmental FB prospect because of his unique blend of size, athleticism and speed. Has great experience as a ball carrier and receiver. Shows excellent initial burst and good speed for his size. Has some lateral movement quickness and does a decent job of planting and driving without losing much in transition. He has good vision and patience as a runner. Is a powerful runner with good body lean and lower body strength. Has soft hands for a bigger back out of the backfield and shows a good feel as a route runner in the short area. Has good size as a blocker. Is raw as a blocker but has some upside if he can improve his technique while getting bigger and tougher.

And... we managed to screw it up. We drafted the 7th best FB according to NFLDRFAFT Countdown.

This is becoming funny now.

You people are going to start making me hit the ban button because I'm growing VERY tired of uneducated statements like this. Go to CNNSI and see what they think of White. Then, post it. Fpickering, YOU WILL POST THIS NEXT.

If I see your name beside a post after this time stamp that does not include what a major draft resource like CNNSI has on this player, I will give you a couple of days off. You people WILL START THINKING AND START PROCESSING INFORMATION BEFORE YOU POST IDIOCY.

You can draw conclusions from the totality of data and from that data you may not like this or other picks. But, you people will stop taking the first thing you see and deciding that is all there is. Starting RIGHT NOW.

I don't trust those rankings. Look at the #1 ranked FB. They say that he is a developmental prospect who doesn't have much experience a FB. How is that possibly their #1 ranked FB???

See what I mean?

Did they Fp? Really? How? SI has the guy rated as a #3 if I read what some are saying right. So the Redskins may have him higher than ESPN. Perceptions differ. So they pick him. It was something that was mentioned last year at times, ( "big" back), and there is one on in NFLE and there is Betts. BD mentioned that Betts is in his final year of his contract. Could be the Skins have that in mind with this pick. But clearly you have done some extensive scouting like the Skins and have declared this a screw up. So, who was out there that's better than what the Skins have now or will be say next year that they should have picked?
