DaFunky1
And the guy on eBay will sell it to you too... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3077991790&category=1503 This just amazes me what folks will spend money... first I read last year in the Wall Street Journal that folks pay others good money to get a zero or multiple zeros on the end of their phone number (6510, 4000) I actually had those numbers, but no one to sell them to... Now that. Amazing. Peace

Ghost of
how about someone blowing their money on a PHONE NUMBER throw me a few thousand. I've done nothing but honorable things in my life, I should get somethin'
Mad Mike
The bidders are probably corporations who see a marketing opportunity for the number, in which case 15 or even 30 thousand would be a modest investment. On a side note. I used to have a ###-2000 cell number a few years ago but I had to give it up because the service was so bad. If only I could have transfered the number as you can now.

TheSchwartz
Current bid is up to 41,100 Why would someone pay that much for a phone number? I don't get the point behind it at all, guess I'm not nostalgic or whatever.

DaFunky1
Current bid... $65,100. I wish I had that number... I think I would do the same thing and auction that number off. Doubt it would get that much, especially since it wouldn't be an NYC number down here.

skins19
 The current bid is now $80,700! Any takers on when this auction will reach 100k? I say in about four hours.
DaFunky1
Last night before I went to bed it was $200,100. This morning when I checked it the bid was around $100K. Looks like they are cancelling bids to protect themselves from fraudulent bidders. This definitely is interesting to say the least.
