I guess you have to have a few Pro bowls to go along with the SB's.
SkinsFTW
Eli isn't getting in for a while, if ever. Even right now, the day he retired, a lot of radio guys, even Giants fan homers, are saying that he doesn't deserve it. Wait 5 years and even some of the guys pushing for him will drop it and the waiting begins. Hell, Giants fans wanted him replaced up until the playoffs in 2007 and every year since 2012. Scoring 19 and 17 in 2 SB's as your ONLY claim to being in the HOF isn't going to cut it. Most QBs are capable of putting up somewhere close to 20 points in most games. He was never a top 10 QB. Never allpro. Never led the league in TDs, yards, completions, completion %, y/a, rating, QBR. But he led in INTS 3 times and came close 4 other times. In his best Int% season in his career he ranks as the 151st best QB NFL season of all time. For his career he ranks 51st at 3.0 in int%. Blake "Bottles"ranks 48th at 2.8. Kirk Cousins ranks 16th at 2.3. Roethlisberger and Rivers both rank 30th at 2.6. The worst modem day QB is Winston at 3.5. So he's closer to Winston than he is Cousins. HOF worthy? NickyJ
Most of the arguments I've heard for Eli getting put in are that it's because he beat Tom Brady. If beating Tom Brady is what it takes to make you a Hall of Fame member, Tom Brady needs a whole new level to the Hall of Fame devoted just to him. Busch1724
Funny thing, he didn't beat Brady. The dueling quarterbacks storylines are a pet peeve of mine. They never face each other. That's another argument.
