Once the grand jury re-indicted him, it iwas a whole new ballgame. He made a deal with Kim Foxx. She recently put out some op-ed explaining there was no reason to waste resources on a non-violent crime like this that already had damaged Smollett's reputation -- the city wasted Millions on the prosecution.
