OURYEAR#56
I need some nasty, snot flying, take your head off type of players. Champ is too pretty to me. I know he plays with a hurt shoulder and thumb, whatever, but his play isn't extrodinary to me. I think we could get by with a serious DE, Smoot, and even a player like Chris Gamble, or DeAngelo Hall (Pac Man). What this team needs is Smack talking, back up all the sh*t in the world type of player. I like Will Smith. Ohio State makes good pros, and Will Smith could be one of their best. I would risk it. inmate running the asylum
Hey, the ideal deal would be to trade Champ to Atlanta for two #1's [it wont happen] and then trade down Atlanta's #1 pick to New England for their two #1's. Then we have three #1 picks in the 2004 draft. What a dreamer.

Art
How about keeping Champ and drafting Smith. That can't be a totally bad idea, can it?

Ignatius J.
to claim that champ is a weak pretty boy corner with smoot on the other side is just plain ignorant. -DB
mcgraw238
Trade down, pick up extra 2nd or 3rd; pick up Antwan Odom or the DE from USC; use the extra pick(s) to add a C, LB, S, or run stuffing DT like Chad Lavalais LSU.
RTerps2002
Why do we have to loose Champ to draft Smith?

Spear
If we draft Will Smith, he probably won't sign unless we let DJ Jazzy Jeff onto the roster, too.

TD_washingtonredskins
I'm with Dex..that would be tough and we'd be facing similar problems in two or three years like we have with Lavar, Samuels, and Champ.... I think if we get two picks (one first and one third) for Champ, that would suffice and give us space to stock up on DL talent.
Gamebreaker
Who would really want to get rid of the best, or one of the best corners in the league for a rookie? Why? So he could get burnt and then you could cry about how dumb it was to kick Champ to curb??

Redskinswhoopass
So get rid of your #1 Defsensive guy, One of or not the best Athelte on team, and A Defensive Leader.... for A Rookie. Yeah that sounds Smart..
