Iran has two primary interests from my understanding - Oil production (less from Venezuela = higher prices more profit for other producers) and access to Venezuelan  passports for some of their nefarious activities (Hezbollah).

For those few of you that where seduced by Corbyn. (I think of him as Britain's even more extreme version of a left wing Trump). He's always agreed with economic policies and actions Chavez and Maduro have taken.

I see it as no different than the inability of Western conservatives to criticize Pinochet and other right wing authoritarians for their atrocities. 

 

I mean the current conservative movement across the US and Europe seems to have a certain admiration towards Vladimir Putin.
