PFT: Chris Baker was ejected for hit that doesn’t violate the rules

I fully believe they were told to do that.

 

 

He did change directions at the last second  so it would be awesome if he gets fined.

 

 

 

 

I honestly think it got lost in the commentary. DJax's reaction was so over the top that the guys calling the game and the league officials missed the point entirely.

That clip perfectly shows that Foles is eyeing the runner and moving at an angle to make the play in case Breeland breaks free.  There is NO WAY you can argue Foles isn't assuming a defensive posture from this gif.

That clip also shows that the runner falling to the ground is clearly in Baker's line of sight and that there was no need to block Foles. The clip also shows Baker's left elbow rising up and pushing him to the ground even after the hit. If RG3 took that hit he probably never gets off the field without being carried by two people. But like someone else posted, he finished the game with a win, so it's all okay, right?

LOL wow. So a dude is in the process of possibly falling when your QB is running directly into Baker not even looking and somehow it's Baker's fault for seeing him coming, knowing the whistle hasn't blown, and throws his shoulder into him LEGALLY?

there is a difference between being pissed just cuz youre guy got blown up and being pissed cuz youre guy got blown up while understanding why its a legal hit.

 

good lord- you want baker to both defy the laws of physics and be able to foretell the future. its a bang bang play. it wasnt 'late'. foles is moving towards the play and gets blown up (not too high or low, not helmet to helmet, from the front, every freaking which way the nfl has ruled you are allowed to hit, he did it.) 5 yards away. 

 

for the life of me, if someone cant understand why, in this scenario, the hit was absolutely, you are beyond help.
