bishtw
Go on the record now and say who you think will win and in how many games! Afterwards we'll see who was right! I say Florida in 7!!!!More because I hate the Yankees then because I think the Fish are better.
bulldog
Marlins in 4 Not a prediction but a HOPE  Everything else has worked out: 1. Cubs lose 2. Red Sox lose in excruciating fashion in extra innings of Game 7 Now all I need is a Yankee collapse like in 2001 vs. Arizona
CBMGreatOne
Yankees in 6. They are simply a better team. The lineup will hit enough, the starters will be good enough and Posada will do enough to neutralize the running game. I love the top of the Marlins lineup, I love Cabrera, I love Pudge, and I love Ugie Urbina, but I gotta take the Yankees. Mariano Rivera will be the series MVP. I really like these Marlins team, but if you think anybody besides Josh Beckett from their rotation will beat the Yankees, you are fooling yourself. I'll give them two wins, but homefield will be big. Hank Blalock may be the runner up to the aforementioned series MVP award. Speed is the X-factor, but I don't see it getting the Marlins over the top here. The Yankees are too well managed to blow it like the Cubs or Sox. bulldog
you mean that Joe Torre showed some intelligence in removing Clemens after 4 earned runs early in Game 7? Grady, Grady.........back to the minors for you my friend!

Bang
The Yankees are in the world series again? How friggin' BORING is this sport? My prediction is it will be just as dull and lifeless next year. Oh yes, and I also predict that the NBA will be thoroughly overexposed and meaningless until next summer. ~Bang
fish
Who cares? Ho hum. The ONLY good thing about the Red Sox / Cubs choke is that now I'll have that much more time doing homework rather than watching the series.
Southtown
Marlins in 7! Josh Beckett MVP. The Marlins hit lefties well and this is a good match-up. Other than Mussina the Yankee pitchers don't hold runners on well , so if JP and Castillo get on they can cause some havoc. I'll be at game 3. 2 rows up in the outfield. Let's go Marlins! Canadian Hog
Marlins in 7 games. With two outs in the 9th and the tieing run on first, Bernie Williams slaps a ball fair down the right field line. A moron wearing a Cubs cap and a 1987 walkman grabs the ball as it is goes into the corner, forcing the runner who was on first base to stop at third. The Marlins proceed to get the next batter to pop out to shallow left field and win the World Series. While escorting the man with the Cubs hat out of Yankee Stadium, security guards wonder why the hell they are protecting this loser, and proceed to beat the crap out of him. Muskrat
As much as I would like to see the Yankees lose, I want them to win. The Marlins beat my Cubbies, so I want them SWEPT in 4. Additionally, I would really appreciate it if Becket could get hit with a line drive (not enough to kill him or seriously hurt him....). This is one of the FEW times I will side with the Yankees. In all honesty, however, had the Marlins beat, say, the Braves in that series, I would be pulling for them. Now I just want them to suffer... Yeah, poor sport...whatever... Sag
Got to go with the Yankees in 6....not going to bet with my heart anymore after the Cubbie's and Red Sox went down. And if they fire Torre after this season, I hope they bring in Torborg. He did such a wonderful job of getting the Marlins out of the blocks this season:doh:
abb.
:fortune: Marlins in six. The Yankees won't be able to deal with losing Johnson or Giambi when they play in Florida.

It's been said by many people inside of the Yankee's orginization that if the Yankees don't win the World Series this year that Torre would be fired. This is only what was reported on ESPN, but I don't live on the East Coast so it's only rumor until it happens, but it's still my prediction.
