Peyton Manning Will 'Never' Be Traded By The Colts

Jan 8, 2012 - The Indianapolis Colts didn't make the playoffs but they've been in the news on Wild Card weekend. On Saturday it was reported that the Colts plan to use the No. 1 pick on Andrew Luck (which was obvious) and on Sunday it was reported by ESPN's Chris Mortensen that the Colts will never trade Peyton Manning.

This is pretty big news. There were really only three options with Manning: 1.) pay him and keep him on the roster 2.) cut him in March 3.) Trade (via pushing back the deadline on his contract).

Option 3 is no longer an option if Mort's report that the Colts will never trade Manning is accurate.

That said, it's still possible Manning is released. That would be a medical question at this point so that option remains on the table. That decision wil likely come in March shortly before Manning triggers more money in his contract.

Manning missed the entire 2011 season and the Colts now hold the No. 1 pick and thus the rights to Andrew Luck. Because of that, Manning's future in Indianapolis remains in doubt.

An idiot would not draft your next Franchise QB when the one you have has not taken a single snap all season after a serious injury. The rookie salary cap makes choosing Luck a no brainer.

I was referring to his twitter releases and the stuff spewing from his mouth, not his decisions to do whatever at the QB situation.
