So excited to see how high Oleksiak is drafted tonight!

I haven't been following the prospects this year. Does he show more talent than Joe Finley did at that stage?

Oleksiak has potential to be on a top defensive pairing at the end of his development. Finely is more of a bottom pairing guy. As far as Finley at North Dakota vs. Oleksiak at Northeastern, don't know but Oleksiak has more long term potential.

I was hoping the name would stay secret until tonight. I was hoping the word would get out as they made the pick, could you imagine:

"And with the seventh pick in the draft, the Winnepeg JETS select..."

The place would have gone crazy.

Like that they went back to Jets, but the SE gets screwed on the travel thing. Wish they could have realigned earlier.

I don't think it's that bad for anyone except the Jets. The rest of the teams in the Southeast will still be below average in terms of miles traveled during the year. We don't have to travel anywhere near as much as most Western Conference teams.
