Spaceman Spiff
An unbelievable amount for those. Only 65 negs. True. Maybe the price will come down after the initial shock has worn off. I find it amazing that someone was able to buy those in the 40's when Adams was very much alive and taking photos. Crazy that someone as meticulous as Adams let those get away. Kosher Ham
That's great. I have always admired Adams' work. Lucky find.

Sandman69
That is insane! What a lucky guy! Wonder if he gets paid he will go back to the seller and pay off their house or something.
Predicto
200 mil is probably grossly exaggerated, but this guy did just hit the big, bigjackpot. ps - isn't Yosemite awesome looking?
Mickalino
Whenever I hear about these garage sale discoveries I feel so bad for the original owner. I don't feel bad for a guy who could not recognize the work of the greatest and most notorious photographer ever :pfft:

PCS
Lucky bastage. Though I'd be tempted to keep one or 5 of the pics and hang them on the wall,(go figure. I'm a fan of Ansel Adams work).
Kosher Ham
I would definitely keep some of them for myself. Sell 50 or so of them and have my own that no one else has. Incredible.
KingGibbs
Wow. Talk about one man's trash is another man's treasure. Two of my favorite shows are now 'Pawn Stars' and 'American Pickers' and I love watching the things people find and the value of thiose finds. Kosher Ham
I tried the pickers show, but it does not satisfy me to see them just give an opinion of what it would sell for. Show the re-sale.
KingGibbs
I tried the pickers show, but it does not satisfy me to see them just give an opinion of what it would sell for. Show the re-sale. Yeah. I tend to agree with you here. It definitely doesn't grab my attention as does Pawn Stars.
Kosher Ham
Pawn Stars has the goofy element of the family similar to American Chopper. But it is nice that they have the experts come in to appraise and sometimes they win, sometimes they lose.
