capitolpunishment
Does anyone know what Direct TV Channel (Not Local) The game comes on?? Last year I would call up Direct TV and order like ABC East for a dollar watch the game and then cancel. It worked great but i have to know the channel. Thanks for any of your help!! NoCalMike
I am not sure. I watch the preseason games(and regular) at the sportsbar and they usually have to manually find it. If you go to Redskins.com they list the actual network channel it is on, and then maybe you can call direct tv and ask which direct tv channel number conincides with that local network. When I go to the sportsbar I will ask the guy who hooks up the game for which channel it is, if your quest has not been solved by then.
capitolpunishment
NO Cal Thanks for the response. I was planning on going to the Sports bar but would rather watch it at home than fight all the Texan Cowgirl fans at the Bar.
jbooma
WRC NBC is airing it here in DC, don't think it on nationaly since it is only preseason.
Skyward72
The game won't be on Direct TV unless you can get the East Regional coverage on your Dish. I would check with Direct TV customer Service.
NoCalMike
See the Sportsbar will almost definately have it, because not only do they have Direct TV, but they usually carry Dish network which picks up tons of regional sports channel, plus they always have 3-4 HUGE DISHES that pick up just about everything. And hey, put it like this, I live in CA, and if they can find it here, I am sure they can find it anywhere.
OrangeSkin
It's extremely satisfying not having to deal with any of this stuff. Not trying to rub it in or anything...
NoCalMike
Well I haven't had a problem yet. I mean I do make the necessary call before the game for Preseason games, but in the 3 years I have been going, I only missed one and that was because of lack of transportation. Die Hard
For 4 years now... I've called in advance to every sports bar in every city I've lived in to watch a preseason Skins game. All of them assured me that they wouldn't have any problems getting the game.. that they "always get every game". Sure enough... I go there... and the owner of each bar/restaurant ends up coming out going through every single channel before I end up settling for any sports highlights. I'm done with that crap. I've accepted the fact I won't be able to watch it... and I'll listen to it online.
Mickalino
If it was me, instead of calling the bar in advance to ask a question that they can't give a definite answer to, I'd just call about 10 minutes into the game, and ask if the game is feeding in. No wasted trips that way.

Golgo-13
My wife wants to see the Lions play the Steelers tomorrow so I called Directv about it. They said that it should be on the Fox Sports Net Detroit channel. I wonder if they will do the same for the 'skins game on the local channel here.
