Darrell Green Fan Posted January 5, 2010 Share Posted January 5, 2010 No, I think he meant that for every terribly average QB who wins a SB, there are 10 Joe Montana-type elite QBs who are hoisting the hardware.Which would be true (well, maybe not a 10-to-1 ratio but something lopsided.) That's exactly what I was saying. Here are the list of SB winning QBs. Of the 43 Super Bowls only 5 have been won by middle of the road (IMO) QBs: McMahon, Hostetler, Rypien, Dilfer and Brad Johnson. And so far Dilfer is the only one on this entire list that JC can say he has outplayed. Say what you want about the others but there isn't a personnel guy in the league who would agree that JC has played even to the Brad Johnson level.
