The Giants won.

They deserved to win.

Their defensive line didn't generate any more pressure than ours but their offense handled ours differently than we handled theirs. We shrunk up, kept getting shorter and shorter, tighter and tighter. They kept challenging down the field.

In this league, right now, that wins.

The advantage we had in this game was spreading them out and keeping the field as large as possible for them to cover. Instead, we just got more and more tight. Not a single deep call in the entire second half. No deep developing routes even.

When Zorn gets pressured he returns to momma -- WCO short passing.

It's who he is and he just doesn't have the trigger man to win that way. Campbell COULD win well enough if placed in the shot gun. Throw 22 times in a row. Run later. Get teams to play us differently. Instead, we try to grind it, use time pointlessly. The only time we look any good is throwing the ball intermediately.

Like there at the end. That is how we can achieve success. But even that disappears when Zorn gets harried.

The Skins will win a couple coming up. But the core problem is we just don't scare anyone down the field because we don't try. Until we do, average we'll be.

The Giants had the better QB and won with most other things being about the same. Good on them.

Downfalls came to ****poor-play calling and even worse execution....things that can be improved but should of been "real season" ready today....heres to hoping we can pull another 5 win stretch out of our *** like last year when we had a similar failure to the Giants...

uuuugh shut up never congrat to the giants or any opponent its the fault of campbell and zorn for this loss no the gmen

They won playing like we should play. That's on Campbell and Zorn, but we should also acknowledge the things they did well are the things we've been begging to see here. It's possible there because they have people running those routes. It's not possible here because we don't.

I disagree... we lost based on our lack of pass rush and the fact we cant tackle or catch and interception, we cant run right routes, we can throw the ball quick enogh.

on the other hand the giants did nothing great

They didnt run great, they didnt run good routes, thier pass rush was average.

So its not that the giants did anything great we did everything awful..

JUST LIKE LAST YEAR

two points......

1. Redskin db's especially Hall, were horrible, allowed open wr, piss poor tackling

2. Allowing the Giants to complete 3rd downs

3. Redskins offense stunk on first down, usually little or no gains, several negative plays. Drive killers

4. Zorn didn't get JC involved until the 3rd series.... the first pass play was that disaster by ARE

You're not entirely right. We actually did get good pressure for the most part. Eli just beat it because we didn't cover as well as we have. Hall struggled badly.

Our problem, overall, was, again, offensively. Eli will make dumb throws if you get the Giants on their heels. We didn't do that enough.

exactly so how can you say good game.... They did nothing to prove they were a dominant team they just beat a team that has no right to play in hte NFL

No we had no pressure until the forced fumble.. Eli had all sorts of time on 90% of the throws. You never saw him run around trying to make a play. He had over 5 secs every donw.

Our prob was offensive... very very Offensive

geez get a life

win or lose be a sportsman and show a little class

the Giants weren't handed the win, the controlled the line of scrimmage, and made plays when they needed it

we got better pressure from the front four than we have gotten in years past. In this game there was at least the threat of the dline... of course I don't understand why we played so passively on D, we needed to knock the sense out Manning, but very few blitzes. As for Campbell, I think he may have all the talent needed for QB, but you can't train someone to quit being stupid. He is not going to be the franchise QB here, he just doesn't have the mental fortitude or intelligence. I'd like to say to say that it's because the Giants are an awesome team, and while they were certainly better than us, I think that they have some severe weakness that we just didn't capitalize on. If we played more aggressively on both sides we may have won.

You're right we didn't have a ton of pressure until the fumble, but we had a good bit after and prior to that the Giants were throwing nicely on time so pressure is difficult to get in such situations.
