Damn, I would have bet he died years ago. Great actor.

He was Brando's big brother, Charlie, in "On the Waterfront"... he listened to him whine about how he could've been a contender.

In Hi-Def, his nose hairs looked like cable TV wires (Pauley Walnuts from the Sopranos)

He didn't play Paulie.

I only really remember him from Patton and the Amex commercials. RIP Karl.

No, he wasn't.

He was the Preacher, in that movie.

He didn't play Paulie.

Wow, so USS-Redskins was 0 for 2, in his guesses, lol

oops, you are right.

Rod Steiger was charlie.

He was good as the preacher.

Also I didnt say he played Paulie... In the Sopranos Paulie had a line one time about Karl Maldens nose hairs...

I coulda been a contenda!

FWIW, Sidney Poitier should have been nominated for the Oscar in "In the Heat of the Night" not Rod Steiger. Though I think Paul Newman should have won that year for "Cool Hand Luke". :2cents:
